Space Combat in Gurps PD

Hi,
I think about buying gurps PD, but i'm wondering, is there space combat rules in the game ?

Mostly we have suggested using Federation Commander. There are space combat rules in GURPS Compendium II and GURPS Starships.

The GURPS Spaceships series of books, 8 pdfs are helpful. The problem I have is how to match SFU to this meta-system.
Federation Commander is a fine game, but there isn't roleplaying built into the system.
