Hi,
I plan of buying the 1990 boxed edition found in a german store and the 2010 rulebook in pdf at e23. Will these items work together ?
thanks
Oh,and I don't want to buy the last box edition because i'm in europe and shipping from the US is very expensive.

More or less.
The 1990 version still has counters for the unbreakable carrier+escort groups.
The 2010 version does away with carrier group counters and uses individual counters for the carriers and the escorts.
And I believe CEDS has now completely gone away.
It may cause some issues in how you deal with these items, but it could be worked through.

Hi !
I have revceived my game (1990 edition), and there are not enough counters for the setup !
Feds lack some DD, and klingons lackk 3 D7 and 3 D6, is it normal or have I made a mistake ? thanks

That's how the game used to work. You set up the fleets that were going to fight on turn 1 and used their casualties to set up the fleets you need on turn 2.
"Modern" playing styles meant doing a lot of cripples (instead of the self-kills that the design expected) and building hordes of FRDs and other repair sites. Which is why the 2010 version of the game has a LOT more counters.

Steve, Can I make copy of some of my counters ? In order to finish the setup ?
If not, I will stop usingcounter and side recording the composition of fleets, keeping conter for out of fleet ships
Paying 63$ shipping for a 62$ ame is no good for me, I know these are normal price for oversea but still.[/img]

What you do for your own game table is not my concern. Have fun.
As for the $63 overseas shipping, that's not what we charge, but the technology doesn't work well.
Here's the way it works.
We charge "actual shipping" which may be anything from $7 to $63 depending on what you ordered and where you are and how it has to go. I don't think anyone has EVER paid the maximum.
The problem is that the shoping cart is just too stupid to calculate the actual cost. Which isn't surprising since I can't do it either. Mike packs it the best way he can and Leanna finds the best shipping solution. To have the shopping cart calculate it would be .... almost impossible. We'd have to weigh every single product, then have the cart add the weight, add in some random number for the weight of the box and packing material (unpredictable), and the cart just can't do it.
Then we run into the other side of the sword. The banks won't let us increase a card charge, only lower it. So there are two ways to do it.
(1) the way we do it, where we auto-charge the worst case scenario and then manually lower it to the real number.
(2) charge nothing, then calculate the shipping cost and email you and have you make a second credit card transaction buying that many dollars worth of "Misc $1" which we found customers just don't want to be bothered with, and more than a few thought they were getting free overseas shipping despite four different warnings that they would get an email and have to pay a separate charge.
What you CAN do is email Leanna say "I want to buy this list but what is the shipping going to be?" and she will have Mike pull the order and weigh it and she'll then email you the correct amount. We'll still have the cart charge the higher one and still manually reduce it, but you will know what the real shipment will be.
This is actually explained on the cart but nobody understands the explanation and nobody would read an explanation this long.

I had Leanna pull a copyof F&E and calculate shipping to England.
$35.25 gets you "first class mail" which could take any number of days to get there.
$55.35 gets you priority mail which gets there in a few days.
Either might be subject to customs fees, depending on the mood of Her Majesty.
You might do better to contact Leisure Games and have them special order you a copy. I have no idea what they would charge.

Her Majesty Francois Hollande has not a good mood nowadays (we just get to 5 millions workless people).

I got confused because England still thinks it owns France.

Well I don't know about owning France, but we Brits might have aspirations on the other side of the Atlantic.......
Happy 4th of July chaps!

I worked with a few Frenchmen back in the day, and they seemed to think France should be running all of Europe. As I recall, they tried that once upon a time, and things didn't work out so well for them.

Things go pretty well before brits start to fund all the european countries to make war against france
And now, we speak english ...
But most of englishmen don't speak french, so they don't know about our plans of conquest
