It hasn't been decided yet if that will be sold in metal, on Shapeways, or both. We're figuring out the whole Shapeways marketing thing.

Something that causes endless confusion with the ADB staff, the customers, the sculptors, and even the office dog is that there are two simultaneous projects that sometimes intercept, sometimes overlap, and sometimes diverge.

PROJECT SHAPEWAYS: We want to have the Shapeways store open soon and open strong. We want to have the Fed CA in both scales, the Klingon D7 in both scales (those two ships being used to recruit new customers), the Vulture in 2500 (it exists in metal but the 2500 mini filed repeatedly in mold making), the Demonhawk in both scales, the Frax CA in 2425 (multi-scale), and the Romulan Skyhawk Leader in both scales. The "resin dreadnoughts" from 2500 will be released on Shapeways as fast as Mongoose can do them, but Mongoose has more than just those to do and the better the Vulture sells the faster the B10, Condor, Kzinti DN, Klingon C8, and others will appear on Shapeways.

PROJECT SHIPS: We're doing new ships.
We just did the D7K in 2450 (3788) and it is a conversion of the Mongoose 2500 Aztek-D7.
We just did some new freighters in 2425 multi-scale in metal and may or may not put them on Shapeways at some future point. (The 3dCGI needed to start the metal process has to be reworked to go into Shapeways.) In any case, we have asked Will McC to do freighters with skids and ducktails for Shapeways.
Will McC is doing the HF5. We had originally intended this to be done in metal in both scales, but that was before we even thought about using Shapeways. At this point we want to see the sales of the ships on Shapeways before making a decision to go metal, Shapeways, or both.
Matthew Lawson has a bunch of Omega and Simulator ships we plan to have him put on Shapeways since we don't think they'll enough for metal.
Jean has a plan to market Frax Ship Card packs in ACTA and Starmada because Lawson has 20 Frax ships ready to go. We do plan to do just one set of Frax (the CA will be three inches long) as 2425 multi-scale.
Will McC wants to do gunboats after the other projects. They will very likely be done in metal but possibly done in sprues in Shapeways. No decision on that for months.
Matthew Lawson has bunches of fighters done which could also go either way.

My wife is at a bellydance convention all weekend, so that gives me a bunch of uncommitted time I can use to finalize the HF5 and (hopefully) get a start on the gunboats and frieghters w/skids/ducktails.

Jean has decreed that 2425 shall be known as Omni-Scale henceforth.

The DemonHawk needs some fixes and might not make opening day, or it might.

Jean is asking Matt Lawson to also upload a Frax DD.

I, for one, would be spending the weekend at the belly dancing convention, but that's just me.

Spent my time at many (I was the dj for at least a dozen). Wife is vending at this one, so I'd just be sitting around - at least the optics would be pleasant.

Brass "originals" for the Klingon HF5 heavy war destroyer are finished and will be winging their way to ADB on Tuesday (once the mail is running again, post-holiday), along with the originals for the Romulan SaberHawk HDW.

The brass original for the HF5, compared to a production pewter F-5.

Will, can I just say WOW! There are not enough superlatives to describe those brass masters! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Are they both 100% brass, or heavily converted SL2400/SL2500 minis?

100% brass.

I used to do practical sculpting and conversions (that's how the Starline 2400 F5W was done), but switched over to all computer modeling and 3D printing, several years ago.

The HF5 and SaberHawk went to the mold company yesterday. We hope to have molds in two weeks and prototypes in three (metal copies on sale in five weeks), but it could take longer and often does.
