Cloaking questions

Greetings.

I am interested in trying out Romulans for the first time and the cloaking rules have me a bit buggered... Very Happy

- Per 5P2, do you pay the individual cloak cost for 4 individual impulses and then fade-out on the fourth impulse or do you multiply the cloak cost by 4 all on one impulse? I ask because of the wording in the 5P3f example. If the former, do you do this secretly or inform your opponent?

- After fully cloaking, do you have to pay the cloaking cost per impulse during the OFP. Is their some difference between paying this cost per impulse and paying it during the end of the turn?

Thanks. I'll probably have more questions later.

When beginning cloak, you effectively "prepay" for the first four impulses. Once activated, you pay for four impulses of use and immediately start cloaking (initiating the fade out impulse). Then, for those four impulses, you don't pay any additional power as you have already paid for them. On impulse five, you begin to pay for the cloak impulse-by-impulse for as long as it remains active.

I hope that helps.
