Federation Commander

TAS Membership = Perhaps we can change it to "Empire" favor. This would act like having the ability to call in a favor with the empire you have chosen. Favors could be... I need a ride, Can you hide me, I need some information.. This is just a spit balling idea... Empire is a place holder for the Empire the favor is with. Like Federation, Klingon, Romulan, etc..

Been discussing this with SVC & Jean on the idea and specifics.

I was thinking perhaps it should be called Empire Connection. It sounds a lot more trekish than favor.

Also had some ideas on caveats to prevent abuse of this.

1. Can on be used once per Empire, per game.

2. Can only be used once, then you have return the favor before it can be used again.

3. Can only be used once per Empire Per game unless you return the favor in the same game session.

4. You need to make a difficult SOC roll to be able to use the ability with the same Empire a second time in the same game session.

Keep in mind i'm just spit balling.

We (Jean, SVC, and I) have had a few conversations on this. What we've come up with is a 'travel pass' that gets you the ability to hitch a ride on any starship going where you want to, as long as they have space.

This means that you might be on a tramp freighter, or a high-end cruise ship (lower berths), etc. Also the time to get where you are going will depend on what ships have available berths. It might take you a month to get where you could go if you bought passage, but you'll get there (eventually).

Now to figure out what to call it.

Kind of reminds me of the TNG episode that "The Traveller" traded his skill set for helping fine tune starship warp drives for "safe passage" through the cosmos in the time period he found himself to meet interesting people.
