2008: Line of Battle, Briefing #1, Distant Kingdoms (late March), Orion Attack (Origins), Battle Pack #1 (Fall), Battle Pack #2 (Fall), and the associated boxes of minis, plus communique and the FC parts of two Captain's Logs.

2009: War and Peace (Origins), two or more battle packs, one or more briefings, and the associated boxes of minis, plus communique and the FC parts of two Captain's Logs.

2010: Ancient Enemies (Origins), two or more battle packs, one or more briefings, and the associated boxes of minis, plus communique and the FC parts of two Captain's Logs.

Plans are subject to change and to finding better ideas.

Oh, and sometime, we'll do a master rulebook.

Now I really need to get to work on that time machine so I can zip ahead to Origins 2010, grab the goods, and come back. Then I've got two years to play with them, and write up all the Command notes before anyone else gets a chance...

War and peace is ISC at a guess?

What about Ancient enemies? I would have said Tholian and selotarin but they have already been done

I asked the same about Ancient Enemies on the BBS.

:P

Ancient Enemies is the Paravians and the Carnavons. The former is a bird-like race that was located near the Gorns. The Paravians had a rabid hatred of the Gorn, and the Gorn were eventually forced to confine them to a single star system in order to stop the Paravians from continuously attacking them. Unfortunately, the star in that system when nova when a Sun Snake (a monster that hasn't appeared in FC yet - making suns go nova by diving into them is what they do) dived into it.

The Carnavon were a canine-like race located near the Lyrans and Kzinti. All three races hated each other equally (which, given how much the Lyrans and Kzinti hate each other, says a lot), and the Carnavon were eventually wiped out in one of the wars between the races.

There's been some speculation that War and Peace might have the Andromedans in addition to the ISC, but SVC hasn't said anything so far as I can recall.

So we'll see the Peledine, Vudar, and Jindarians in 2011?

And Scoutdad if you do go ahead in time remember that you'll have to leave the minis there because 1st you have to finish painting the ones you have and 2nd the magnetic field and residual radation that are locked in once they're cast and will interfer with the time machine's operation.

Bummer
that takes the enjoyment right out of it all.

If that's the case, than I'll just impatiently wait like everyone else and instead devote my time to painting miniatures. Maybe they'll all be done by Origins 2010 (assuming I don't buy any more)

In the immediate future, apparently not.

However, anything is possible long term.

Besides, Federation Commander wouldn't be that good of a game system if it could be finished in just a couple of years, would it? ;)

I am guessing that the Ancient enemies stuff will be getting a boost since they apeared in the early years module orgianlly (I think that is right?) or does this mean we might see some YCA's et al?

When asked about the time frame on the bbs, SVC dodged the question.

:P

So no idea how it will be handled. In any case, it's still at least two years away.

This is Trek; time travel and continuity are subject to P.C.D. (Plot Convenience Device), just like ship speed.

Since FC doesn't have early years, it's a good guess that ancient enemies would be "modern" (general war issue) ships.

We might delay AE and do carriers, or maulers, or gunboats, or tugs.

Technically, Paravians are Omega.

For what its worth, I think I would rather see an the Birds and Dogs updated to the "modern era" then Carriers, Tugs and Gunboats
