Fighters are launched as shuttlecraft (5Q1b). In the Sequence of Play "(1E2F) Launch Phase: Ships can launch drones (4G), plasma torpedoes (4J), and shuttlecraft (5H). These cannot be targeted on items launched in this Phase of the the impulse."
Question (1): Can drone-armed fighters launch a drone in the same impulse that the fighter was launched?
Question (2): For Fleet scale, would a flight of fighters (5Q1g) be one-to-three fighters or one-to-six fighters?
Question (3): Are flights still under the (4A3) restriction which keeps more than three units in one hex from firing at the same target? |

Answer (1): No. (5Q2c) says that a fighter cannot fire weapons on the impulse after launch. That means they can fire weapons before then, too. But, as a general concept, that isn't possible because the fighter isn't finished launching until the end of that phase, which means the opportunity to launch drones itself is lost.
Answer (2): It should be three. With fighters, everything is "half as many" in Fleet Scale, meaning only three fighters. If it doesn't say that, that was a good catch.
Answer (3): Yes. This has always applied to Stingers, even before the more advanced fighter rules. Do note, however, that this only applies to direct fire, not drone or plasma launches.
Hope that helps! _________________
