So News on The Abattoir of Compromise recruiting front. Two additional players are interested in player spots Teemo and EastCoastFolk or ECF.

They would also like to start in January at the soonest to prepare. So do i get a bonus or something for recruiting. : )

That means we only need 1 player and an alternate and we can kick it off.

Yeah I would be interested in the campaign...A January start time helps me to study the campaign rules, get super-familiar with the client and re-fresh with the SFB rules (•••• C12.33 and years of Commander's rules slack playing..lol!) which I believe is coming along well...Hopefully also aiming to handle multiple ship battles in the next little while...then I can work on Diplomacy lol!..If I was not ready as a player, would be willing to sign as an Alt...At any rate, I am interested!

Rom vs Hype

The Battle of IR_109 isn't going to take long my Science Ministry is telling me. A Pulsar in the area will effect the whole battle with outbursts on random turns. The power cascading out in rings 50km, 100km, 200km, and past the boundary. I would guess the captains will stay outside the 200km range to lessen its effect.
Then there is the Ion Storm generating 10 pt gravity wave every 32 impulses, radiation zone, and random Sunspot activity. We should rename this area "The Shredder".
I am eager to watch this match, please post when you have a date setup.

What is the size of the map again?? isnt it 84x64
so forget going to 200 hex distance.

IM also guessing the pulsar is in the middle of the map, and the damage will come from it..but it should only happen 1 out 4-5 turns.

Ion storm changes every turn, but im not sure we will be using the p14.2 because the wave would come from the pulsar. (I might be wrong)

It is a radiation zone so lowered sheilds will be really fun.
As for the sunspot result 1&2 isnt so bad...but yeah 3+ is fun 8ecm natural.

As for our match i gotta get resubscribe to SFBonline this week-end it will be done, and im off for 2 weeks after that, so plenty of time for mayhem and death.

I am willing to jump in feet first to a new campaign. A January start will give me time to learn how to use the client, train for fleet battles, and study the rules. I have offered to take Ken's Overseer position on TAoC campaign so he can play. I have played in a long running campaign before an have run countless rpg games so would say I am a fair judge.
