Results are in:

Increase YIS by 1 year: Passed
Increase fleet cap by 50 BPV: Passed
Use TAoC ship system: Did not pass
Tholian Web Generators: Treat them as ph-3s.

We now need someone to make and submit Ph-3-ready Def files for Tholian ships for Paul to use.

Everyone can now begin looking over what they want to build. I am debugging something in the sheet and expect to have the new version up on the end of tomorrow night.

I may also see how the sheet converts to Google Docs and create six shared spreadsheets so that I can just move them to new players more readily.

I agree even from far off TAoC, making new SSD's really seems unecessary. It would clutter the Tholian ship database with a bunch of unsanctined ships that could easily be played normally. Web Generators show up on the direct fire weapons, they could be assumed to be ph 3's and capacitor energy altered to reflect that.

Its a much easier fix, and wouldn't delay the game while new SSD's were created. Why stall the game further over Tholian SSD's, DboM is getting back on its feet after a couple player dropouts. If both Tholian players agree they can make do with the ship definitions they have why not let them?

Here's why - when someone whines about their opponent having fired a phaser 3, not having it automatically deducted from the capacitor, or not seeing it on the weapons used list, and makes an error based on this, the game will grind to a halt, and I will be called in to fix it.

EG, allowing this without defs means MY workload increases, and I'm the one running the game without getting to blow things up.

Therefore, I want it fixed pre-emptively.

There are about half a dozen ships that need new defs: Tholian CW/CWP, Tholian CH/CHP, Tholian DD/DDP.

As to database clutter, name them DbOM-Tholian and they'll all be in one location and easy to skip (and obvious if someone selects them outside of the game.)

Also to address Josh's point, instead of cluttering up the library just email them to everybody in this campaign and we can all manually add them.

I think we are all big boys here and can agree to fluff this. This isn't a competitive tourney game where folk whine and cry about minor typo's, weapons lists, etc. There is no automatic capacitor deduction in SFBOL. Let's move forward.

Tholian P3's Issue

I think it will only require the few Archeo ship's used at this point. I don't know how to edit ships yet and the documentation isn't even out there so no help.

Note: My fleet only has 3 archeo hulls in it and one is already covered.

The client handles the HDW's ok, just like an orion ship they have option mount selections on the ship selection screen for each HDW.

Each type weapon and non weapon options have a different selection of systems that can go in them. The NWO options won't accept a weapon so you cant cheat that way.

As im finding out with my Orions, knowing whats legal in a weapon mount is another matter. Probably alot easier with an HDW's options.
