In a freak accident on starbase 2 in 5508 of the F&E map a transporter accident took the lives of three promising ISC Science Officers.
As soon as there cleaned up, were ready for action.

Its seems the accident lowered CO BPV on each ship. So ill correct those and resend them.

And then they tell me I didn't warn them what would happen when they scatter their molecules all over space. it, I'm a doctor Jim, not a molecular glue worker!

Quote:I just realized the Soludra DD has a movement cost of 0.67.
By Mike Johnson (Akira) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 02:39 pm: Edit |
Oh sorry Peter I thought I has responded. Two Souldra DDs are fine. Even assuming they are tougher than the average destroyer the lack of a third ship is plenty to compensate.
By Mike Johnson (Akira) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 02:40 pm: Edit |
Note that I have not issued a ruling against movement cost 0.67. Sure it's factor but not the only factor.

Sorry Peter, with only 75 Soul Shields each, I have to agree with you wave em on in.
Didn't look at the FF but im sure they would be fun too, so what is the deal with the DD's 4 Shards.
Those are like Fighters in many ways, what types do the DD's carry?

Mike,
Would it be possible to let us know what each player is flying ?
Not so much their fleet make up, just the chosen race.
Thanks.
Cheers
Frank
By Peter Thoenen (Eol) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 07:19 pm: Edit |
Josh: Not sure, never actually flown them, will look tomorrow.
Frank: For all the hoopla around Souldra, I am still waffling between Souldra and one other race. Will let you know tomorrow.
By Peter Thoenen (Eol) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 07:21 pm: Edit |
Mike: Given nothing appears hidden, why don't you fly in your campaign
By Mike Johnson (Akira) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 07:46 pm: Edit |
Peter- I've been considering it! But it would look bad when I won :p
COs will remain hidden by the way.
Frank- I will post that info when I have it all.

Declassified Communications Intercepts Y174
From: Secretary of Isolation
To: Members of Tholian Assembly (No further Distribution)
Subject: BEST, Operational Risks
Members I once again express my concerns over the potential for cultural contamination we risk by exposing almost 1000 Tholians to alien lifestyles. The struggle to provide Isolation Officers sufficient to restrict contact to essential contact only has stretched my departments resources to the limit. The enthusiasm shown by so many young officers and workers for the opportunity to operate outside the Holdfast is alarming. If the concepts of individual ambition, personal glory, self gratification, or any other dangerous alien contamination were to be seeded within our population the very heart of “The Tholian Will” may be jeopardized. To prevent this additional restrictions must be placed on the Best operation beyond the four the crews are currently aware of.
Fifth, no crew are to be re leaved from duty for the duration of this operation. Sixth, all personal communications are to be screened through our department. Special operation order 7 will be conducted at the conclusion of operation BEST.
If it is the will of the Assembly the assigned officers and crew could be informed of the restrictions 5 and 6 after the assembly of vessels for operation training.
SOO7 must remain in the closest confidence possible.
Secretary of Isolation, Iron Oxide

OK, a drone question. Disclaimer, I have no agenda, I just need to know A or B.
Drone speed upgrades must be purchased with BPV, roger that. Excepting transitional speed years.
What about drone frames? Drone modules? Are these things that can be bought with COIs, or must we (in effect) specify our drone load-out prior to battle, without the ability to change it with COIs?
Example: Can I buy a Swordfish module with COIs, or must I purchase it with BPV? Type III frame? Etc...

Mike,
The topic header says signups accepted until July 11th, and I just sent out an SWA-SFB email blast (134 people and growing) with that date.
Your post about 7 hours ago says today is the deadline.
Are you able to accept entrants until the 11th?

By Mike Johnson (Akira) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 10:12 pm: Edit |
Duh!
Yeah I can accept people through the 11th. Not really sure why I said today is the deadline.
Thanks Dave

Dale- BPV must be used for drone upgrades.

TARDIS malfunction?
By Dale McKee (Brigman) on Friday, July 08, 2011 - 11:45 pm: Edit |
Thanks, that helps me with my fleet selection.
How about zero sum games? IE replacing an explosive module with an ECM module? Can that be decided at the time of the encounter or must it be pre-determined?

Comment: OK this is geeky but it was this or my Neu Frax'ian BattleLeague love letter [yes I actually spent a half hour writing one ;) ]... re-read it though and it just didn't fit with turning from a computer simulator into a real race so the geek won out ;)

And just for amusement, the failure started out:
Mein Freifrau Friederike,
I am writing with the expectations this subspace communication will never reach you.
Since time immaterial the mighty Neu Frax'ian Battle League has battled relentlessly against a seemingly endless Empire horde. Two days ago Kurfuerst Johann directed my squadron to conduct a deep strike on a crippled Empire C6 returning from a recent engagement near planet "Klingon Simulator Class M Five". We immediately submerged

Great Kenneth glad to have you aboard!
Dale- any change to expendables would count as one of your two resupply opportunities.
Dave C.- just saw the email you sent out and it was great! Thanks for doing that.
By Francois Lemay (Princeton) on Saturday, July 09, 2011 - 08:47 am: Edit |
Mike,
You should ask Paul to send out an email blast as well.
Cheers
