The Kzinti vs Tholian battle is over.
Thols lose DD Calcite and remaining DD's which have taken several internals disengage while Kzinti DD Minotaur is seriously crippled and no damage to the DWL Gryphon and DD Unicorn.
Will do a fleet report later re dealing with damage etc.
Great game Christopher !!
Cheers
Frank

I have no idea what sort of deadline there is for the two games Ive got to play vs I believe Krellex and Devil.
I still want to participate but I may not be able to get these games completed in the next month.
In the interests of allowing my opponents a fair chance of completing their games I will drop from the Destroyer Squadron Game for at least this session.
I hope you both have time to get replacement games in, I just know that I cant possibly deal with whats going on here and do EaW, RAT 37, and Masters, and this one too.
Good luck to you both in your replacement battles.

Results of the Kzinti and Tholian battle is now in doubt !
I completely forgot about existing damage to DD Minotuar.
I have offered Chris to replay the battle, this time with the damage applied to DD Minotaur.
There is no honour in winning a battle unfairly !
Cheers

No time has been set as yet.

Peter and I are still trying to get our times coordinated. He can only do Saturday afternoon and I'm almost always busy then. We'll get there (both of us want to play this out and see what happens) but I don't know when.

OK everyone, phase one is scheduled to end in a few weeks and most commanders have only completed a single scenario. Is there still interest in continuing this campaign? Let's have a show of hands- please post if you intend to continue in the campaign. If enough people want to continue I will extend the deadline for phase one.

Yes! I like this format and game system. Fleet action but small enough to play a turn an evening or an entire engagement on a weekend and you don't have to fight to the death just garner some VPs.
Maybe get some farm Captains to fly or advance to the next round and players that didn't complete by the deadline don't get the VPs for that segment?!
By Troy Latta (Saaur) on Thursday, October 27, 2011 - 01:51 pm: Edit |
I'm definitely still interested, just can't seem to coordinate with my opponent for round 3.

Yeah, I'm totally pro playing another game--I like small squad games, but I'm yet to actually get a squad on squad game. I'm waiting for Dale and Troy to finish their game.
By Troy Williams (Jungletoy) on Thursday, October 27, 2011 - 08:21 pm: Edit |
Dale's been pretty busy lately, I'll ping him and see if he can play this weekend.

Ditto it's just slow going

I'm still in.
Chris and I need to replay our battle.
Cheers

I am still interested. I have the good to have problem as a consultant that I have been much busier this year than I have in years past and I am also participating in four other FC/SFBOL events. I am relying (which I fully concede is unfair) on my opponents to take the initiative and schedule games with me. I'd understand completely if you found this unacceptable and wanted to have me drop out, but I do like the format and find the campaign interesting, so I am also happy to remain.

Still trying to find a good time to rematch with Frank, and have little time until November 1.
The size speed of the camp is good but real life can be a pain.

I think the deadlines were just a little ambitious, what with tournaments starting and the holidays creeping up.

I'm still in , its just my opponents seem to be all busy!
By Troy Williams (Jungletoy) on Monday, October 31, 2011 - 07:09 pm: Edit |
My opponent will be offline for some time (drive crash). I would like to request the Peladine battle be put in stasis and I can fly my round 3 with the Baduvians in the interim. Thoughts?

UPDATE-
Mike,
Dale McKee ask to pass on that he would have to drop from this campaign as he has technical difficulties and some RL issues. He has conceded the the round by way of disengagement.
So you will need to adjust the pairings I guess, or I can play my round three opponent (Baduvia).
By Mike Johnson (Akira) on Monday, October 31, 2011 - 10:12 pm: Edit |
Troy, please proceed with the Baduvai and I'll adjust the round 2 pairings.
Sorry to see Dale go- hopre thiings work out ok!

Hey guys,
Posting from the wife's work laptop, so can't be online much. My hard drive is toast. Good news is my friend pulled all the data off; bad news is he's 90 minutes away and working on setting me up with a new hard drive and OS and all that jazz. So until I get my computer up and running, I can (infrequently) check email but, no ability to do graphics, photoshop, SFBOL, or anything more complicated than this network machine will let me.
With the huge backlog of work this has caused, coupled by other "real life" annoyances, I am just going to have to bow out. I don't want to hold things up and the prospects of my having time to play in the immediate future is very slim.
Apologies to Mike and Troy, and Peter, sorry we didn't get to play.
Great campaign, maybe I can rejoin next cycle if I can get my ship in order here.
Best,
-Dale
By Peter D Bakija (Bakija) on Tuesday, November 01, 2011 - 07:45 am: Edit |
Well, I'll certainly volunteer to play Troy or someone, just for entertainment/campaign purposes/whatever.
I have this squad of Gorns sitting around with nowhere to go.
By Troy Latta (Saaur) on Tuesday, November 01, 2011 - 10:21 am: Edit |
That seems like an elegant solution. If Jungletoy and Bakija were Dale's two opponents, just let them fly against each other.
By Troy Williams (Jungletoy) on Tuesday, November 01, 2011 - 11:46 am: Edit |
Bring it, Lizard-boy.
By Peter D Bakija (Bakija) on Wednesday, November 02, 2011 - 07:44 am: Edit |
Ooh! Cool! Yeah, let's totally set that up, Troy. This weekend isn't optimal, but maybe some time next week we could start.
By Mike Johnson (Akira) on Wednesday, November 02, 2011 - 08:23 am: Edit |
Sounds great guys- I'll change my records accordingly. Go blow each other up!
Overall it sounds like most players are willing to continue but need more time. So the deadline for phase one will be extended through January 31. Future phases will be for six months rather than four.
Dale you'll be welcome back whenever real life lets you!
