Has an SSD for the 'planet killer' type monster in "The Creature that Ate Sheboygan III" ever been published? If so, can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks and happy new year's eve

There is a Federation Commander ship card for the Planet Crusher in Klingon Border, but it is a rather different critter than the SFB version.

the planet crusher comes from SM0.0 this is the creature that ate sheboygan III. I do not have my ssd's in front of me to be able to look but I do not remember there being one in "Basic Set" rule book.

There is not an SSD for the Planet Crusher. You just keep a tally on the damage scored on it. It can take 200 pts of damage before being destroyed. Note that this damage total is for a ship of 125 BPV (ie the unrefited Fed CA). There is a formula in the scenario to adjust this total for a different ship.

If it helps, a number of monsters have low-toner Ship Cards posted over in the FC Commander's Circle.

The Kzinti ADW light attack carrier (R5.115) does not have a listing in annex #7G for the total load of drones carried for its Heavy Fighters.

Does the Romulan VHK sabot refit really cost 8 bpv? I cant find R12s errata.
By Alan Trevor (Thyrm) on Monday, December 21, 2020 - 09:18 am: Edit |
Aaron,
I can't give an official answer, obviously, but 8 BPV looks right to me. It's got two Plasma-F torpedoes and a total of 24 ready racks. Per FP11.11 each Plasma-F should be one point and each ready rack should be .25 points. So... 2 BPV for the two F-torps and 6 BPV for the 24 racks equals 8 BPV.

Alan, your answer is good enough for me. Thanks for the assist.

While working on giving modern updates to my self-created SSDs, I just found an issue in the R12 SSD book.
According to Module J2 all of the Advanced Shuttles get two extra damage points irrespective of what their starting number of damage points are or the size of the shuttle is. So an admin shuttle goes from 6 to 8. A GAS shuttle goes from 8 to 10. An HTS shuttle goes from 12 to 14.
However ... in every single SSD shown in R12 that includes an HTS shuttle, the damage track in the Administrative Shuttles diagram gives every HTS shuttle 16 damage points, as it gains four "A" boxes, not just the two it should have. Instead, it should show 14 damage points with only two "A" boxes.
This appears to be unique to R12. Modules R4T and R4J both have HTS shuttles with the correct 14 damage points.

Nick,
Cool! I just hadn't seen it noted anywhere. Good to know.
