The proper question is "Romulans". Will they fight like Romulans?

Romulus year 155 or 175? Howard, I finally sat down and looked through Romulan Y155 ships....ye gads.

Don't knock those Warbirds. In numbers they can........die horribly.....okay, never mind.

Let us put it this way: One Romulan warship from T45 survived, 9 did not. They took 4xLMMs, 5xMRS, 2xBT, and 4xCA Gorn assets with them.
Yes, the Y155 Romulan situation is ~challenging~. The Y175 situation is very different.

D'oh. Call me Homer.
I forgot that one of the ISC Police ships (FLG - Y142) does have a special sensor. They are part of the Merchant Marine. They are limited in number by the initial setup and the Supplemental Defense percentage. This does explain the ISC expansion on the map.
I'm pretty sure that the U6 ISC will defeat the U6 Alunda!
Kudos JB!

Louis Rifle asked me to post this. Hopefully he will be registering soon so he can join the verbal sparring first hand (hint,hint).....
Today the Qixa Pirates have been eliminated. The senseless slaughter of innocents has been avoided. It is unforgiving for the Romulans to send their Elite Fleet commanded personally by Romulus Bamptomus to support these terrorist in the South. One problem has been solved yet another has been created by the Romulan overreach in support for this terrorist activist group. We ask for peace. We announce we will not eliminate Romulus Bamptomus in T45 if he surrenders peacefully. We have eliminated 9xWEo out of his command of 10 ships. His personal WEo is badly beaten up and it lays crippled in system. We hold him no person ill will, but ask him to leave us peacefully, and we will open up normal trade relations with him as a sign of good faith.

Given the Gorn's unilateral claim of space north of the Romulan border out of "concern" that, in 18 months we could enter Gorn space and do who knows what, and given the presence of Gorn units past their own claimed line, as well as the lack of any Qixa forces ever leaving T45 (and lacking the "sea legs" to reach Gorn space even if they were to do so), their word is suspect at best. As to claims about damage to Imperial One- your science officers appear to be in need of additional training.
We should also point out that Romulan warships were outnumbered nearly 4-1, and still managed to permanently removed from service two Gorn flagships. Perhaps some thought should be given to what may happen if maulers are deployed or the odds are even...

In an open address to the citizens of the Lyran Star Empire, King-Emperor Grey Claw has stated:
Over the past year, reports and rumors that the Hydran Empire has invaded the Lyran Democratic Republic have been trickling in. A full battle squadron was sent to the LDR border to investigate and has reclaimed a region of space once claimed by the LDR and is continuing that task. That is the good news. The bad news is that the Hydrans have invaded with a very large fleet. Sensor scans and intelligence reports have placed the number of Hydran ships involved at, conservatively, somewhere well over 40. With a force this size, it would have been brave yet suicidal for our battle squadron to have engaged the Hydran fleet. To ensure the safety of the Lyran Star Empire, the highly decorated 8th Battle Squadron has been recalled from its successful campaign against the duplicitous Iridani. It is making full speed for the LSE/LDR border systems to ensure the safety of our worlds and people. Additional ships, fresh from commissioning, will be joining it in route to bring the squadron up to strength. There they will join the 3rd Battle Squadron in protecting our borders.
The grim fact remains however; there is little we can do to help the systems of the LDR at this time. Without stripping many of our systems of their defensive squadrons, we cannot muster a large enough fleet to challenge the Hydrans and reclaim the LDR worlds. In addition, the Hydrans have a mutual defensive pact with the Klingon Empire. If we openly attack the Hydran forces, we will then have to contend with a Klingon invasion fleet. The Klingon Fleet has recently proved its strength and skill against the Measron’s, completely overwhelming their defenses in less than 6 months. Having to fight a 2 front war with both the Hydran and Klingon Empires would prove to be nothing but disastrous at this time.
That being said, we are not giving up on restoring the LDR worlds to the Lyran Star Empire. Diplomatic talks with the Hydran Empire have begun to try to reach a diplomatic solution. This may take some time to achieve. In the meantime, the Lyran Star Empire has already begun gearing up for war. New ships are being built around the clock at our shipyards! Neighboring threats like the Iridani and Sigvirons are being dealt with! New allies are being sought out! The Lyran Fleet will remain ever vigilant until this matter can be resolved! Thank you for your patriotism and continued support of our vaunted military! We will prevail!

Personally, I much prefer the "Bundy Bear", an advertising symbol used for Australian Bundaberg Rum, which is basically a very friendly, and probably mildly alcoholic, Polar Bear that frequents Bars and Football matches.

King-Emperor Grey Claw of the Lyran Star Empire,
Fear not. We are eliminating the Sigviron threat. This action by us should free up your ships to defend the LDR.

Jindarian Confederation,
Unfortunately ships have already been dispatched to deal with the Sigvirons. We consider expanding into the Sigviron Empire to be crucial to the economic and military growth of the Lyran Star Empire and simply backing down is not an option. We can discuss possible solutions to the matter using a more secure form of communication if you so desire.

Dispatching all Enemy Ships with Large Rail Guns should prove an easy feat for Rebels such as the Confederation;)
