We must have diverged a long time ago "Jindy".

The term "rock" as in Rock Ships has an ancient derivation of "to be feared".

The Federation, in particular Earthlings, have a different meaning, as in a genre of music that involve electronic guitars, keyboards, and drums.

We are trying to decipher their terms "shock rock", "rock and roll", "classic rock", "hard rock", and "soft rock". Apparently there are many ways to express "to be feared" in their language.

Who knew?
