Whoops. With all those empires it isn't easy keeping things straight (each subtable in my spreadsheet is nearly an entire screen). Ratio is 3-1 with the Selts in play.

This is the projected income list in order-
Iridani
Qixa
Maesron
Flivver
Ymatrain
Drex
LDR
Sigviron
Alunda
Lorivill
Pronhoulite
Veltressai
Korlivavlar
Vudar
Orions
WYN
Rovilian
Paravians
Barbarians
Carnivon
Q'Naabian
Sharkhunters
Selt
Triaxian
Qari
JindConf
JindFed
Tholian
FRAX
Canadien
Romulans
Gorns
UFP
ISC
Kzinti
Hydran
Lyran
Klingon

===
Commentary- the conflict between the Romulans and Gorns means that they are in the 7th (G) and 8th (R) slots. Had they instead focused on lesser powers, they would each be up 3 or 4 systems each, the Can would be down 2 from where they are, the ISC would be down one as would the Jind Fed. This would mean the 10K/11K/12K cluster would have two more members while the 7K to 9K cluster would only have the UFP (mid 9K), FRAX (7K), and Tholians (just over 7K).

As it is, the R/G seem to be focused on knocking each other out of the running. Whichever one 'wins' will make it into the top 6. If the Gorns win, they could become a power large enough to rival the Klingons (odds are the Tholians or Canadiens would pick up a system in this case). If the Romulans win, they'll surpass or match the UFP (who appear to have some growing room) and the Canadiens, ISC, and Jind Fed may pick up a stray system.

Ok....what does the (!) represent?

Jindarian Confederation Turn sent.

The Emperor

By Howard Bampton (Bampton) on Saturday, September 24, 2016 - 12:51 pm: Edit

Using the historical SFU as a guide, I'd expect the Tholians to be the least powerful empire (OK, the LDR, WYN, and Selts would be in their league)- pretty much on the border of minor/major. In U6 they are above my expectations. The (!) was me expressing my surprise.

They also look to not be on the road to the first 'major' (i.e. 'player run') empire to be taken out. Once again using the SFU history as a benchmark, one would expect the Hydrans or Tholians to have that honor with the other one getting the silver medal. The Romulans or Seltorians would be in the running for the bronze. Odds are the Gorns or Romulans will be the first such empire to fall.

A note on these commentaries- while the human making them is the Romulan leader, I am trying to make them based upon publicly available data. Alliance details (or the existence of an alliance) are only minimally factored in. The Romulan leadership has very different opinions about system dispositions should they prevail (and one assumes the Gorn leadership has their own view based upon their available data)! Me arguing with myself over this is probably not entertaining to the rest of the players however. :-)

The Canadian's should be up two more soon. Just saying.

Well it's almost time see the Federation loss report. 3 Federation DN squadrons are facing off against the Orion Pirate home world defenses: TCB,2xOBATS(2xCarM),24xGBDP,6xDS,2xSC3SY,2xSC4SY,YCR,4xYLR,YCR,3xYLR,YSL,YCR,3xYLR,YVK,CA,CR,2xLR,LRS,CR,3xLR,+LRS,CA,CR,3xLR,_LRS,CR(63%),LR(42%),+LRS. At least there will be 7 fewer raider groups out there to haunt us. Please note: The Orions DO have Phaser 4's! They currently are using a lot of early year ships in their convoy raider groups.
Now we have to figure out their supply system and we can start hunting down their secret bases.

By Howard Bampton (Bampton) on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 - 11:02 pm: Edit

By John Christie (John46) on Thursday, September 29, 2016 - 05:57 am: Edit

Or a Kzinti Commando Squadron with a serious Meat shortage?

By Roy Steele (Emperor) on Thursday, September 29, 2016 - 09:43 pm: Edit

I imagine 3 x DN's and 45 x DD's? maybe possible GSC's in there?

Without directed damage there is a lot of room for damage distribution for the Orion. It could come down to dice.

UFP captures Orion, GBC goes silent....

By Kurt Byanski (Kurtski) on Friday, September 30, 2016 - 12:53 pm: Edit

Nice Job UFP....The dice were with you!! :)

How bad were the losses? Inquiring minds want to know.

By John Burton Steele Sr. (Johnbsteele) on Friday, September 30, 2016 - 04:36 pm: Edit

The turn is not out yet so we don't know our losses. I would predict at least 33 Orion warships were lost.
Yes there was another reinforcing squadron.
How about all of you guys that used to owe the GBC! Has your debt been paid?

By Kurt Byanski (Kurtski) on Friday, September 30, 2016 - 04:55 pm: Edit

How about those with cash in the GBC? Is the money safe?

By John Stiff (Tarkin22180) on Friday, September 30, 2016 - 05:59 pm: Edit

The FED most likely blew thru those early year Orions.

By John Burton Steele Sr. (Johnbsteele) on Friday, September 30, 2016 - 08:40 pm: Edit

According to my calculations the Federation had about 400 more attack factors and a little over 100 more defense factors.

SO much for sending EP's to other races now

By Roy Steele (Emperor) on Monday, October 03, 2016 - 08:16 am: Edit

Hey Mike: How go the turns?

By Kurt Byanski (Kurtski) on Monday, October 03, 2016 - 08:33 am: Edit

You could always hull the eps in cargo ships. :)

By John Stiff (Tarkin22180) on Monday, October 03, 2016 - 11:52 am: Edit

Do business the old fashioned way? Horrible. It would take years to send/receive economic aid.

By Roy Steele (Emperor) on Monday, October 03, 2016 - 01:13 pm: Edit

for an Extortion fee - errr I mean transportation fee of 20% the Jindarian Federation will ship Currencies to nearby Systems and will do our "Best" to make sure the Moneys get to where they are supposed too;)

Unless there is some good news about this banking issue soon, the UFP may have inadvertently declared war on the galaxy... :)

Unintended consequences!

By John Burton Steele Sr. (Johnbsteele) on Monday, October 03, 2016 - 06:12 pm: Edit

Don't tell me you had money in the GBC.
