Hey, man--I didn't bolt at all vs the Hydran, and only bolted a single torp vs the Klingon, 'cause he pre-emptively decelled. And both games ended when I tractored my opponent and hit them with a bunch of launched plasma.

So hey!

The tournament is more or less half over! And so far, I have results from 8 games of 36 total games? Is that right? I can never figure that out. Yeah, I think it is 36. Huh. Well, like, 25% done with about a month to go.

Get on those games! Captains, please e-mail your teams to make sure games are moving!

We end abruptly at midnight on October 7th. Games that aren't done will just end up as nulls!

Admiral DZZI (RFH) over Crashandburn (WAX HGDB) in 6 turns.

The RFH launched 2 EPTs turn 2 which stopped the WAX. The game then became a close range knife fight. The RFH landed a couple of volleys of fast loads followed by phasers into down shields. The WAX did a really good job of landing drones - but on multiple shields. The WAX scored a lot of quality weapons hits on the RFH. In the end, the RFH still had more power and the ground down the WAX.

Please note...

Mr Lin is very generous in omitting that I would not still be viable in our game if it wasn't for his horrendous disruptor and web fist fire. 0/2 on web fists. I think he's missed with 3 overloaded disruptors.

I have hit with 3/4 hellbores.

Given that he has totally outmaneuvered me, hellbore fire is the only thing keeping me in this game.

Just a note: All of my games have been pushed back due to Irma. I was activated before, during and after the storm. Between getting my own home and family secure and then working extended emergency shifts I haven't had time to be online except to check email.

I have another three 12-hours shifts this week so will shoot for next week to get in some gaming.
