BS vs CaptainRon. Through 4 turns. 1 and 2 shields of the Kzin down, 4 phas, dis and drone hit along with about 5 power. Klingon (me) down 3 shield, 6 boxes off 1 and 2 and 2 phasers hit. Game continues on Saturday at 7 central.

Wayne, if you like interface goodies, just wait until you see a Lyran or LDR ship. The bright red ESG rings are amazing! Totally better than pushing a single cardboard counter on the map that says "ESG Radius 2".

I find the downside is that they get you ~too~ excited about trying for the ESG ram, even when that might not be in your best interest (as the Lyran player). You JUST-WANT-TO-HIT-HIM-WITH-THE-ESG-NO-MATTER-THE-COST...

Dana/Madman and I got together today and played. It was a nail biting five turn run. He took my nose shield and pushed me all over the map but an early exchange took it's toll over time and around turn 5 I overcame that darn Klingon maneuverability and ate a drone to get a range 1 10 phaser blast on a weakened shield.

Lesson to me: Disruptors are sometimes most powerful when unpowered.

Sleepy_cat (Zin) vs Erokk (ATC) finished just now.
T4.26 and its over. Sleepy_cat with the win.

After catching me with my head up my you know what and getting caught in the web (forced to use my free HET breakdown roll) on t2, Zin goes speed 9 t3 and continues to make bad decisions by not firing all 4 disr at r8 imp 2.

Critical turn 4, after spending the t3 running and then turning back in late in turn, ATC forgets I can speed change up and lays web where I can move thru it by 1 hex.

That was trouble as ATC was in the corner with 4 speed 20 drones and a zin coming head on at speed 19. ATC HET's away, but the corner forces him to get to r3, where zin tractors him.

Good game Erokk!! Thanks for the fun game!

Old_School (ATC) over DaveC (HYD) continuation

T6 the ATC went in pursuit at high speed trying to get a shot on the HB recharge turn. The HYD turned in the latter part of the turn to engage but was hampered by the down #2 and #6, so gave up a range 5 shot to the ATC phasers on the weak #6, after which the ATC HET away. T7 the HYD hit with the remaining OL HB from r5, but it was not enough and Dave conceded at the end of T8. Thanks for the game Dave, and as always, thanks for being the most gentlemanly of opponents!!

About 2 weeks left. Games that are unresolved by Oct 7th will be nulled out (i.e. 0 to each player) if I don't hear anything from the players involved or 2-2 tied if I hear from the players involved (saying "We can't get this played!" or "We started and can't finish it!"). So it is 100% in your team's interest to contact the organizer (i.e. me) and your opponent, even if you can't get your games played.

Romwe (KLI) over Old_School (ATC) this evening in 2 turns.

T1 ATC went to r5 and alpha with 3xOL, fist, 7xP1 on KLI #1, hit with 2/4 heavies and did a few ints, before HETing away. KLI returned fire on the #4 (unfortunately for me) and did a few ints of his own. T2 was a chase but my down #4 was too much of a hindrance against a pursuing opponent, and I conceded rather than drag it out. As always, well played Brian!!

So as of press time, Pool A is almost full up done (including various resignations due to time commitments, etc.); Pool B still has a handful of games that need playing (including two on my own team...Zimdars!). But we might actually pull this off!
