Grraven and I are 3 turns in. He has taken about 50 internals to my 40.

Turn 3 was interesting as it started with a tractor auction that went to 39 power at which point I couldn't allocate any more. I had 41 power with batts and he must have had 43. So, no shields powered, only life support and fire control. He had life support, fire control, a weasel and a SS. I also had a little more energy in my phaser caps from the previous turn so I got a couple of extra ph shots off.

Start of 4 we are at range 1. I have a few more power but only 1 Disr and all drone racks. He has 3 Disr and 1 drone. I also have a down front shield, and two hurt shields (5 and 6). He only has one shield at 50%. I have all my shuttles on the board, he has 1 crippled shuttle left. We have 5 ph each, no repair used.

We are going to try and wrap this up Thur night about 8:30 Eastern.

So for the sake of clarity, and I in no way want to make anyone unhappy, I have been very clear that the first round of three games in 8 weeks was over abruptly at midnight on Saturday, Oct 7th (i.e. in about 24 hours. Well, really, like, 30 hours, but still).

We got a system, which is "Get done in time. Time runs out. Your game isn't done, you get a 2-2 tie, assuming I hear from some players".

I'm gonna figure out finals (including if anyone needs to play SUDDEN DEATH games) on Sunday some time.

Round 1 is over!

Thanks to everyone for getting their games done. Most games got finished in time. A few got nulled out into a 2-2 tie on the grounds that they were never going to get finished in the time frame. A bunch of games just were called on the grounds that one of the players involved had to drop from the event, late in the event (I think 3 players did that for various reasons), which is a hassle, but not terrible.

After the pool round, the scores are:

Pool A
1) Team King's Ransom: 30
2) Team A Fist Full of Drones: 28

3) Team KillerBs: 26
4) Team JustUs League Cluster Funk: 24

Pool B
1) Team Orion Oldies in Bikinis: 28
1) Team BCS: 28

3) Team Plasma Palookas: 24
3) Team Battlefleet SWA: 24

So Pool A is easy! A clear 1st and 2nd place. Pool B is weird, as there is an exact tie for 1st place (they both have 5 wins, 3 losses, and a null tie. Weird.) It isn't hugely important who is "1st" and who is "2nd" (it just determines who fights who in Pool A), so I'm just gonna flip a coin to see who fights King's Ransom and who fights Fist full of Drones.

I'll post the matches for R2 today some time.

kingzilla over Romwe. Was a good game, until I completely hosed up my ea/move. Forgot that I lost 3 batts in the first pass. Couldn't figure out a way to reasonably fix it, so I conceded. I was probably still a little ahead, despite only hitting 1 p1 on 25ish ints. Of course I had lost no weapons, so ints were really pretty unusual for both of us. Down to the last game, which is scheduled for tomorrow night at 6:30pm Central. Go krieg!

grraven vs krieg made it thru 2 turns tonight, will resume Sunday. nothing much to report, just light shield damage on grraven and i was able to weasel off his scatter pack without much damage due to grraven's seriously, and i mean seriously, bad rolls on turn 2

T1: ATC 15-28 with 3 OLs, ZIN 12-24 recovering the SP with a tractor. T1 i32 we were at r5, I fired 3 OL, fist, 7xP1, doing 54, 2 ints after a 22 pt brick! Tractored a few Sp drones and shot more.

T2:I ran some, Ron chased some.

T3:I ran some, Ron chased some.

T4:I shot up the ZIN #1 (down now), ZIN shoots up some of my #3. Continuation Thur!!
