(R5.12) TGT: Add to seeking weapons paragraph: The seeking weapon control rating may be improved by some pods. Rule (F3.213) can be used if a pod with a special sensor is carried.

(R5.34) MTT: Add to seeking weapons paragraph: The seeking weapon control rating may be improved by some pods. Rule (F3.213) can be used if a pod with a special sensor is carried.

(R5.53) TGC: Add to seeking weapons paragraph: The seeking weapon control rating may be improved by some pods. Rule (F3.213) can be used if a pod with a special sensor is carried.

By Stewart Frazier (Frazikar2) on Monday, June 25, 2018 - 05:59 pm: Edit

(R6.35) should be (R6.53) as (R6.35) is the destroyer, not the combat tug.

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Monday, June 25, 2018 - 07:11 pm: Edit

Stewart Frazier:

I have corrected the original post. Thanks.

By Ken Kazinski (Kjkazinski) on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 - 10:21 pm: Edit

Might be missing something but R6 would be for the Gorn and R5 for the Kzinti.

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Thursday, June 28, 2018 - 01:03 pm: Edit

Ken Kazinski:

In short, I posted the initial list with a mistake, that being that I reversed the numbers for the TGC [listing it as (R5.35) instead of (R5.53)].

Stewart Frazier noticed the error and reported it, but accidentally made an error of his own [reporting the error as (R6.35) rather than (R5.35)].

I then went in and edited (as I noted after Stewart's post) my original post to correct the mistake, i.e., I changed (R5.35) to (R5.53) in my original post.

Yay, comedy of errors??? (g)

(SL233.0) Captain's Log #30 - MSSB-R5 shows the format for ship designations to be YFF, but the scenario shows "FF". The scenario should be updated to reflect the current standard. - Ken Kazinski, 30 Jun 2018.

(YR5.7) MSSB-R05 Kzinti YFF - YFF12 should be added to the list from SL233.0 (CL#30). - Ken Kazinski, 30 Jun 2018.

(R5.A30) CVA(H): Cut and paste error; bay should be 6/3/3, not 6/6/3 (fighter/heavy fighter/shuttle)…

(R5.A30) CVA(H): Carrier Data Table, is the "cross" supposed to be on the fighters or the escorts as there is an escort explanation but not a fighter one …

(R5.4) CC: In the second paragraph "Noble Superiority'" has an extra single quote …

By Stewart Frazier (Frazikar2) on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 - 12:12 pm: Edit

(YR5.2) 'Pentarchal nobles' has a carriage return between the 'n' and 'o' of nobles.

[pentarchal n
obles]

(YR5.16) should the cargo pod ref (R5.13) be (YR5.17A) to reflect the Early Years usage?

(YR5.20) 'This priority transport can carry one pod...' - 'priority' should be 'strategic'

By Richard B. Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 - 12:23 pm: Edit

Is Pentarchal the correct word?

By Stewart Frazier (Frazikar2) on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 - 07:51 pm: Edit

Pen - tar - hal IIRC (five nobles, IIRC)

(R5.15) P-B3: Add: "Bombardment: For each active pod of this type carried, a tug has 100 spaces of spare drones stored in two of its cargo boxes (FD2.445) in addition to any normal rack reloads. Note: while a tug with a pair of these pods is technically capable of the drone bombardment mission (if supported by a scout), tugs were never used in that manner."

LINE ITEMS SINCE FIRST PRINTING

(Z55.3) PUB IN: First sentence of last paragraph: "products are available ... from our website and directly from us." Unless your web store has been fully out-sourced, this does not really make sense as both the web store and any alternative purchase method (walk up? snail mail? cons?). Or maybe the text is trying to allude to those methods without listing them all (email, phone, telegram, ...)? - Howard Bampton 2018-08-28 NOTE: THIS ITEM IS UNDER REVIEW

(R5.1) Military Ranks: Revise the third paragraph to read: "The "grade" indicates not just the seniority of the officer, but (in the case of captains) the size of the ship. Captains of the first grade command dreadnoughts (R5.42), heavy carriers (R5.25), space control ships (R5.11), heavy battlecruisers (R5.43), advanced technology command cruisers (R5.202) advanced technology battlecruisers (R5.201), advanced technology new heavy cruisers (R5.210), starbases (R1.1), stellar fortresses (R1.89), advanced technology starbases (R1.201), and early docks (YR1.1). Captains of the second grade command heavy cruisers (R5.48), new heavy cruisers (R5.62), advanced light cruisers (R5.203), advanced technology light cruisers (R5.214), monitors (R1.22), battle stations (R1.2), sector bases (R1.47), early base stations (YR1.3), advanced technology battle stations (R1.202), and advanced technology sector bases (R1.206). Captains of the third grade command light cruisers (R5.5), medium cruisers (R5.19), light monitors (R1.83), advanced technology war destroyers (R5.211), base stations (R1.3), fleet repair docks (R1.10), advanced technology base stations (R1.207), mobile bases (R1.24), and advanced technology fleet repair docks (R1.81). Captains of the fourth grade command destroyers (R5.35), war destroyers (R5.44), advanced frigates (R5.205), and platforms such as systems activity maintenance stations (R1.30). And Captains of the fifth grade command frigates (R5.8) and small ground bases (R1.28), to include advanced technology small ground bases (R1.208). Support units (e.g., commando ships, scouts, cargo transports, auxiliaries) are usually one grade lower than would normally be called for. In normal circumstances no ship will be commanded by an officer of less than captain fifth grade, e.g., the captain is killed forcing the next ranking officer to take command (skiffs, Interceptors, and fast patrol ships form an exception to this). There is technically a "sixth grade" in that a captain fifth grade commanding a frigate is considered to be senior to a captain fifth grade commanding a support ship, such as a forward carrier re-supply ship (R5.68). He would still be subordinate to a captain fifth grade commanding a larger ship, e.g., a captain fifth grade commanding a war destroyer transport (R5.113) would be superior to a captain fifth grade commanding a frigate."

(R5.4) CC: In the second paragraph delete the extra single quote at the end of "Noble Superiority.’"

(R5.7) CVS: The CVH is not listed as a variant. (R5.A29) lists it as a variant of (R5.7). Add after fighter data table: The TADS attack shuttles listed above are in Module J. If you do not have Module J, use the TAAS attack shuttles. Some of the above escorts are in Module R2, but the medium escort cruiser (R5.28) and escort frigate (R5.20) are in Advanced Missions.

(R5.9) CVL: Add after fighter data table: The TADS attack shuttles listed above are in Module J. If you do not have Module J, use the TAAS attack shuttles. Some of the above escorts are in Module R2, but the medium escort cruiser (R5.28) and escort frigate (R5.20) are in Advanced Missions.

(R5.37A) SRV: Escort table- the Y177 through Y186+ escorts have "DWAFF/FKA" instead of "DWA/AFF/FKA" (missing A and /).

(R5.951A) LAD: Add: "This ship is a variant of the large freighter (R1.6)."

(R5.951B) SAD: Add: "This ship is a variant of the small freighter (R1.5)."

(R5.A30) CVA(H): Change "This ship has two shuttle bays, each with six attack shuttles, six large attack shuttles and three admin shuttles." to "This ship has two shuttle bays, each with six attack shuttles, three large attack shuttles and three admin shuttles." Carrier data table, delete the "†" in the "fighters" header.

(YR5.2) WCA: "Pentarchal nobles" had a carriage return between the "n" and "o" of "nobles." [pentarchal n _obles].

(YR5.16) P-YSD-4: The cargo pod reference (R5.13) should be "[(YR5.17A)/(R5.13)]" to reflect the Early Years usage.

(YR5.20) YFT: The cargo pod reference (R5.13) should be "[(YR5.17A)/(R5.13)]" to reflect the Early Years usage. "This priority transport can carry one pod..." – "priority" should be "strategic."

(R1.R-5) REFITS: Change "Y158 EARLY BASE REFITS (R1.R2)" to "EARLY BASE WEAPONS (R1.R2)."

(R1.9-5) FT: Change last sentence of introduction from "operating near Kzinti space." To "operating near Klingon space.

(R1.65-5) FTT: Change last sentence of introduction from "operating near Kzinti space." To "operating near Klingon space.

(R1.67-5) PT: Change last sentence of introduction from "operating near Kzinti space." To "operating near Klingon space.

(R1.79-5) CCS: Add to refits: "Special sensors are under Early Years restrictions (YG24.0) until Y134."

Just bought the Kzinti MSSB (yay!) and I noticed that the graphic for the CVL (R5.9) has the same aft phaser boom as the BC graphic (R5.3). These are not present on the SSD, so it may be there by error?

R05.A21 through R05.A24 in the ships from Captains Logs, shows them as being found in CL#53, this should be changed to found in CL#54

By David Jannke (Bigslowtarget) on Thursday, November 02, 2023 - 07:15 pm: Edit

(R5.A29) STRIKE CARRIER (HEAVY FIGHTER) Year of availability listed as 176, LKF fighters listed as available in Y177 in G3. SSD in SSD pack shows LKF fighters and YS:176 Description of the shuttle lists Y177

(R5.115) LIGHT ATTACK CARRIER (ADW) Escorts listed as FFA. No FFA exists in Kzinti service. Could be an AFF or a FKA

Could be I missed something though, just ran into these today.
