And here in Texas I am complaining that it was below freezing for half a week and running up my heating bill to make sure my pipes do not freeze. Puts that into perspective. Good luck up North.

Here is hoping that perfidious groundhog does not extend this winter.

The Army provided me with a fleece jacket, rain gear and a pair of gloves. I'm good.

I'm freezing. It must be 30 deg outside right now.

30deg? Dang, you got you a nice heat way going bud!

(Reaches over and taps the weather station remote thermometer gauge. Yep sitting on 4 degrees f. ) at least it's positive!

Things are good here in southern Minnesota! Balmy today, but we have the sun making a rare appearance today!

Just to keep things in perspective the temp on Mt. Washington was -100 degrees just two days ago..... I live approx. 60 miles from there and I was at a
-14 degrees. Minnesota still gets colder though, due to the wind I'm sure. I have woods around me to keep me warm.....sorta speak. And Lucky's a woose because its too cold for him up here, 30 deg. is like summer almost right Jeff.

Klingon Turn in.

By John Burton Steele Sr. (Johnbsteele) on Monday, May 07, 2018 - 08:18 pm: Edit

Peace between the U.F.P. and Klingons!
The Federation/Klingon holiday "Tribble's day" has been established in the U.F.P. on standard earth day 1 April of each year.

That is fantastic! We look forward to the removal of Federation ships unlawfully parked in Tholian space.

Lord Xenolith
The Holdfast

By John Burton Steele Sr. (Johnbsteele) on Tuesday, May 08, 2018 - 04:31 pm: Edit

Lord Xenolith

That space is not recognized as "Tholian" space by the UFP council or the Admiralty, that space is Klingon (and parts of it now Federation).
That stunt was blatant rules lawyering and was intended to subvert the true meaning of the act the U.F.P. council was trying to negotiate with the Klingon Empire. This was considered an act of war. It was as a matter of fact the perverbial "straw that broke the Warrigul's back" and led the Council to order the attack into Klingon space.
The U.F.P. officially does not trust the Tholians (or Klingons) as they have demonstrated their subversive diplomatic tactics.

Lord Xenolith,

What he said.

Kzinti High Command

By Charles "Lucky" Coleman (Mwmiyd) on Tuesday, May 08, 2018 - 09:32 pm: Edit

We may bend the rules and be subversive, but always remember; The UFP has actually broken signed treaties, long before we became subversive.

Klingon Emperor

By Kurt Byanski (Kurtski) on Wednesday, May 09, 2018 - 02:57 pm: Edit

Kzinti: The Holdfast has had no diplomatic communications with the Hegemony, nor are we currently interested. There is no longer any point, since the potential trade routes to Kzinti and Lyran space have been disrupted by your and UFP unwarranted aggressive actions.

UFP and Kzinti: What you "recognize" relative to Tholian borders is irrelevant.

UFP: During recent diplomatic communications the Holdfast made it clear that we did not want aggressive actions occurring on or near our borders. We also made it clear that we reserved the right to protect civilian populations caught in conflict. In addition, the non-aggression agreement between our governments and militaries was very clear in its description of what would be considered to be sovereign space. Annexation of "so described" sovereign Tholian space by the UFP violates, without ambiguity, both the spirit and wording of the agreement.

Unfortunately, this seems to be consistent with other cases of published UFP failures to honor is agreements (we had hoped for better). This is extremely disappointing. The Tholian people are concerned that the greed and expansionist imperialism of the UFP and their allies will spare none of their neighbors, including those of us who are dedicated to peace and prosperity.

Zenolith

Lord Xenolith,

I am sorry that you are "caught up" in all of the "distraction" with the Klingon Emperor and the Federation Council. They are most stubborn. Seems those independent planets that the Klingons annexed wanted to be Federation citizens. The Federation Council directed the Federation Admiral to take action to recover them. He did so. Now the Federation Council ordered peace if those planets are "voluntarily" allowed to join the Federation. The Federation Council can just as easily order war if this is not allowed. What can the Federation Admiral do? In my opinion, he is subject to Federation Council edits.

I advise that all Tholian forces a return to Tholia immediately. Who knows what that stubborn yet whimsical Federation Council will do next? Why put yourself in such a precarious position?

We too are concerned about the greed and expansionist imperialism of the Klingon Empire and its allies. As an Empire dedicated to peace and prosperity, we should do lunch one day!
