Shawn Smith i am holding with fighting the deltans and the unknown. but the deltans are down to their home world now , abandoning the other 2 to reinforce it. the only thing keeping the unknown off of me is the ability to build ships right next to the fighting to hold them back. and not taking 2 turns to get ships down to the fighting.

Kurt Byanski Many moons ago, as the Canadien first made advances into the eastern edge of the Deltan space, the Tholians made it very clear that if the Canadiens stayed east of the 41 line (leaving the three westernmost Deltan systems alone) we would not be inclined to get involved. The Deltan's have been a significant trade partner for many years and well before the petty Canadiens invaded their space. The Tholians have not attacked or damaged any Canadien ships or annexed any of their space. However, the Canadien did annex one hex of Tholian space in the most recent turn. This was an act of war; however, we once again expressed our concerns and indicated that the Canadien needed to withdrawl from the previously claimed space or it would be considered to be a formal act of war. In a communication from the Canadien just hours ago, they made it extremely clear that they would continue to both annex Tholian space and would attack Tholian ships. This was a formal declaration of war on the part of the Canadien. Fortunately, the ships of the Megolith Fleet which is responsible for the defense of the southeastern corner of the Holdfast has been mobilized to protect our citizens and the remaining Deltan people.

Kurt Byanski We don't need a declaration of war to defend our space. The Canadien formally declared war by indicating they were going to actively attack our space and fleet. Their action simply allows us to use the most aggressive of defensive tactics...of which we have a few.
