PROPOSALS BOARD: A HELPING HAND
One of the more interesting SFB capabilities seen in F&E is the idea of drone bombardment, but only a few empires (Kzintis, Klingons, Federation) can do it (and the Feds cannot do much of it compared to the other two). Mark Kuyper proposed the idea of a Romulan SparrowHawk converted with Klingon technology into a drone bombardment platform, providing the Romulans with a new capability they do not have. While “technology sloshing” has been outlawed for two decades, Mark proposed to get the ship published as “something that Romulan intelligence tricked the Federation into thinking the Romulans had, when they really didn’t.” While we probably don’t want to go down that road (which would never end, as the Gorns, Hydrans, Lyrans, and Tholians would all love to have drone bombardment ships), if we were going to do so, it would be more likely in a “threat file product” than in an R-module. Still, that would be a product Leanna would love if we did it without providing counters. Since the ships would not really exist, you wouldn’t need counters, right?

Well I realized that the Romulans don't have a Modular Battleship, I figured SOMEONE had to propose one, so here it goes. (It is kinda obvious that one is missing...)
After the General War, and after the Romulan Civil War, a bunch of old Admirals were devising how they could regain the old Romulan Glory, they thought up the idea of creating a modular battleship which could be configured for a variety of missions to be able to destroy any of the Romulan opponents.
Their idea centered on the most versatile of the modular dreadnoughts, the Demonhawk. With it's ability to have both Sparrowhawk and Skyhawk modules installed allowed it to fill any possible mission with any combination of Sparrowhawk and Skyhawk modules. THey reasoned that the battleship version should have the same capabilities. Verses trying to expand the Omni/Megahawk hulls.
Essentially the Devilhawk is a Demonhawk on steroids, widening the ships and expanding it to have the appropriate number of boxes that BB's have (since they all seem to have almost exactly the same #). The exceptions are as follows:
1) It has two Sparrowhawk Module as the Demonhawk does, in the same positions. As an exception to the Demonhawk though, it is capable of mounting either the F-Modules or J-Modules, as the battleships has so much extra superstructure it can mount these modules (the F-Module would have to be hard-welded in campaigns of course). Both add Shock to the BB as normal for these modules, but the Devilhawk has a shock rating of 30.
2) It has two Skyhawk modules in the rear (side-by-side)
3) It would have 3x20 box engines
4) It would have 2xFA Plasma-Rs, LP PlasmaS+F, RP Plasma S+F.
4a) For something different, I'd suggested 2xRP Plasma-Gs. Also for something different, I'd suggest it has 3xPlasma-Ds (LS, RS, RH), as other BB's have 4xPlasma-Ds (2LS, 2RS)
4b) For phaser-1s. I'g guess around 12-14 (w/o K-modules).
Of course the bankrupted could never have afforded any BB construction, so this was Conjectural (as all other BBs are).
SVC WOULD CONSIDER 8x8 WARP ENGINES l

Jon Berry called for the legendary Tholian HDW, but noted that there was no historical hull to build it from. The DD is too small and cannot be expanded, but the CW is too big. Michael Powers suggested building it on an even bigger CA hull. Jeremy Gray noted that as it would be a campaign conjectural ship a new hull could be created. Loren Knight suggested starting with a CW and welding two modules along the spine to add a total of two weapon options replacing the disruptors and four non weapon options. The two web generators would become rear-firing weapons with the web generators replacing the third and fourth disruptors.
