So the year begins with good news for the Galactic Powers.
Good: Commerce attacks and losses have been reduced 75% from the start of the invasion (4xFL,8xFS)
Good: Andromeda's have taken a serious beating at the hands of the Vari: In 2 separate system attacks the Lyrans were bottlenecked up by large mobile Vari forces, even with a bypass MV the Andros were forced to fight. MAMH,2xCOBH,4xPSS,2xMiniEM, and 2xINT badly damaged. Vari lost one Cruiser, a few FTRS, and a some MRS.
Good: Not a single GP system was lost to Andros.
Good: Technology centers from several GP now confirm the Andros don't seem to be here for complete annihilation of the GP. Perhaps they can be bargained with?
Good: The first Andro satbase has been found! For secrecy the exact location is being kept secret,but for morale reasons this news is being released.
Bad: Lyrans fall from the GP family is complete, and some kind of complicity with the Andros has been documented. Qixa observers in RYN space witnessed the Lyrans (who committed quite a few X Ships) attack and capture a RYN system. More interesting was the fact that several Intruders stood by, as if to join in and help the Lyrans if they needed it. RYN abandoned the system they knew they couldn't hold and just used static defenses. The 1 year operation has cost the Lyrans (3xDDX,SCX,CL,8xCW,5xDW,5xDD,2xPF Flot,12xPF,4xINT,13xZD,12xZH,5xMRS):
Bad: By the end of 184.2; 3 systems have been “poisoned” and 2 more eliminated by Red space.
Bad: Andros have a temporal elevator (this is what Fed scientists are calling it). The Vari have confirmed that certain motherships can vanish from combat. They used this to vanish on the turn they disengaged from battle, making it even harder to give the Andros a parting shot.
