Paul,
The Hydran Hunter has a ph-1 in FA arc, it should be an PH-2.

By Paul Graves (Grim) on Sunday, April 28, 2019 - 01:45 pm: Edit

In a similar vein, the Hydran Tarter Medium Cruiser (TAR) has 2 FA Ph-1 but in the game they are listed as Ph-2s.

Hi Paul I tried to use the client today but it would not let me load any ships from the library. Tourney ships were Ok and planets seemed to be OK too but nothing from the Library.
Is it me or there is something needing fixing.

The Orion SAL has two option mounts in the front. Whatever is chosen for Option mount B (which oddly is asked before A) gets doubled so the game shows three weapons total.

Paul,
We know the issue and have a simple fix for it.
We will get at repairs as soon as we can given the holiday season.

In the meantime, if you need to fly this ship[ or any ship with multiple option mounts with same arcs], use the edit feature and mark off the extra weapon.
May have to adjust any phaser caps as well.

Thanks.

Cheers
Frank

Paul,
Decided to correct the following ships just in case they are needed for campaign play.
Orion BR, CA and SAL have been fixed.

Just waiting on Paul to upload the fix into the library.

Thanks.

Cheers
Frank

Paul, something is up with pseudo speeds for tractored ships. I attach a tractor and the client sets a pseudo speed for the tractoring ship and sets the pseudo speed to 0 for the ship being tractored rather then setting appropriate pseudo speeds for both ships based on move cost, impulse, speed, etc.

I have noticed this a couple times. Thanks

By Paul Franz (Andromedan) on Sunday, March 22, 2020 - 07:50 pm: Edit

Jack,
I will look into this. How many ships are involved in the tractoring? I know there is an issue with multi-ship tractoring.

I did work on it. But I thought I fixed it for tractoring between 2 ships. If not, please tell me and I will jump right on it.

By Jack Taylor (Jtaylor) on Sunday, March 22, 2020 - 08:10 pm: Edit

Paul- It was one on one, tourney ships. One ship tractoring another ship. Both moving. In this last game one ship was move cost one, the other was 2/3rds. One ship was using impulse for movement, the other one was not.

Thanks

Talking about tractoring. When a ship Tractors a sub-light ship. The client assumes it is move cost 1. So if I tractor a Snipe. (SNS) It should be tow cost of 1/4.

Jack,
Thanks. I will try to look into it tonight.

I am having trouble logging in. I hit the "login" button like usual but nothing from there loads up.

Is it just me?

Hi-

I just uninstalled Client 4.2.19 (I run Windows 64), which I was able to open and use earlier today... and downloaded installed 4.2.21. However, it doesn't seem to install correctly. I get these 4 little error pop-ups one after another at the end of install:

1: SFU_Online_Client.exe - System Error: "The Program can't start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." (I have tried that several times, both with and without an uninstall between).
2: Failed to find library.: C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Local\SFU_Online_Client\runtime\bin\client\jvm.dll
3: SFU_Online_Client.exe: Failed to locate JNI_CreateJavaVM
4: SFU_Online_Client.exe: Failed to launch JVM.

I also tried installing 4.2.19 again, which now quite curiously gives me the SAME errors.... I appear to be unable to install any version or use it at all, now. Please help. :)

I had to tell my stupid Computer I was administrator and to let the program load everything. That no it was and is not a Vires of some type. Drove me crazy when I tried to update.
Can not remember exactly what I did. Yeah was a pain

Might check in your recycle bin sometimes when you uninstall a program files get deleted. The last 3 seem to refer to you Java, did it uninstall when you deleted the client. May have to re install Java. For the VCruntime file check you system 32 directory and the recycle bin.

Some progress...
I didn't have Java at all, so I dl'd it and re-started. I was able to install 4.2.19 (it went right through the Install to Login like normal) but it wouldn't install 4.2.21 (same error windows sequence as above). I can't say for sure if installing Java made a difference, but it's more than likely and can't hurt my chances here. I'll try again in awhile on the latest version, just now I'm only using the client to work on a new Manual for it.
Also, I tried to install the Java SFBOL client version but it says minimum Java 1.9 is required... but the Java site only offered 1.8.0_251 for today's install.
