Built, literally, from every leftover scrap and spare part that Star Fleet could come up with.

I love it! Petrick should make an SSD for it and Federation Commander players deserve a ship card!

Is the name a misprint? I don't know what "Raputisa" means but "Rasputitsa" is Russian for the seasons of the year when unpaved roads become almost impassible. It is sometimes translated as "sea of mud", which seems... not inappropriate... for a Fralli SCS.

I like the tail club. Does the ship change allegiance when if flies backwards?

By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Friday, August 21, 2020 - 05:45 pm: Edit

If I remember the POL deck plan discussions correctly... the rear cone of the POL secondary hull was the waste water recycling system.

Is the substitution of a Klingon boom for the rear cone solid waste separation tanks symbolic of something? A political statement? A position of honor for when the Klingon Ambassador docks his D7N to the Fralli flagship?

They have a very creative scrounger, they found Thunderbolts! [OK, OK, workboats]

Turn mode? You thought it could turn?

By Steven Zamboni (Szamboni) on Friday, August 21, 2020 - 07:43 pm: Edit

Hmmm, I could probably have the STEP file for the bottom half to Will later this evening...

what is the armament on that thing. Besides a Fralli Psychic Imager. Roll to hit like a SFG, then reduces crew quality by one level every turn. As well as slickening a number of crew. Roll on the Mind monster table.

By Richard Eitzen (Rbeitzen) on Friday, August 21, 2020 - 07:59 pm: Edit

Perhaps it can only 'turn' using zero-energy turns?

By MarkSHoyle (Bolo) on Friday, August 21, 2020 - 08:02 pm: Edit

It doesn't turn --

It Separates --- :)

Jeff, no the small tail cone is Impulse engines and fuel tanks. The wider part of the ice cream cone has six usable decks: water & air tanks, HVAC systems, Main Engineering Controls, Emergency Bridge, bio-waste processing, and trash compactor.

Thanks Garth!

I think that maybe the Fralli had some help from WYN engineers with this one...

Are those admin shuttles to either side, or fighters? IIRC there was a conversion kit to turn an admin shuttle into a crappy fighter (The F-4? F-8?) produced in the Federation. Given that we know the Fralli had a large supply of admin shuttles (see previous Battleforce 500 articles), it's possible that they purchased a number of those conversion kits to make the most of what they had available when the rest of the Federation refused to sell them "real" fighters. They might have used those on this ship to turn it into a bizarre kind of hybrid carrier.

F7 Shenyangs

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 08:32 am: Edit

It is a space control ship, six gunboats and twelve F7 fighters.

By Garth L. Getgen (Sgt_G) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 09:16 am: Edit

Given that the Feds didn't use Gunboats / PFs, where did the Fralli come up with their floatilla?

Perhaps they took Skiffs and mounted an A-10 to the nose ....

A must have for Fralli defense.

By Steven Zamboni (Szamboni) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 11:38 am: Edit

F-7M MegaShenyangs, of course.

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 11:46 am: Edit

Star Fleet gave the Fralli the rejected Thunderbolt prototypes, and the sample gunboats that the Gorns and Kzintis gave the Feds for evaluation.

By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 12:18 pm: Edit

The Fralli would have “improved” the F-7M MegaShenyangs.

Heaven and Jean might have been copied on the changes, SVC and the rest of us, not so much...

At a guess, the F-7M would have picked up a type 1 drone rail and upgraded the two phaser 3’s to two phaser 2s. The two existing type VI dogfight drones would also get upgraded To two type 1 drones.

Not to mention the halo projector pod the improved F-7MD got as standard equipment. It projects a full size image of a naked Fralli into The cockpit of an opponent fighter, thus causing said enemy pilot to soil him or herself in a automatic (no saving throw allowed) involuntary reaction. Game effect is, the enemy fighter must continue moving straight for a quarter turn until they (he or she) can regain their composure.

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 12:57 pm: Edit

As there was no mega-pack developed for the F-7 Shenyang (or the F-7A Advanced Shenyang), the Federation just provided the Fraili with Warp Booster Packs and told them they were the mega-pack for the Shenyangs.

By Jeff Wile (Jswile) on Saturday, August 22, 2020 - 01:19 pm: Edit

That’s okay.

The halo pod is enough,

Grin.
