Some players are not aware that sign ups are happening for the Sapphire Tournament. (I am going to grab a ship on the weekend)

I emailed the SFB Campaign group I am with.

all good

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 - 06:28 pm: Edit

Do we sign up via the SFBOL site, or through email and the pay online?

By Jack Taylor (Jtaylor) on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 - 07:33 pm: Edit

The SFBOL site wasn't updated with Sapphire 9. I emailed Steve and then paid online. It was a little confusing.

By Geoffrey Clark (Spartan) on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 - 08:44 am: Edit

OK, great, I've signed up.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Friday, October 01, 2021 - 11:24 am: Edit

I'll give that a while this weekend. I'm certainly in.

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Sunday, October 03, 2021 - 07:54 am: Edit

Paid, sent registration to Sales@starfleetgames.com.

I am not getting signups, at lest I am not getting them in the traditional format. In the past, I have received signups in the following format:

Name
E-Mail Address
Callsign
Ship
Mailing address
Phone number

The mailing address is used to send the winner.
The E-Mail address is so that if there is a problem, I can talk to both players, or the tournament as a whole.
The name is self-explanatory.
The call sign is an in game format.
The ship is what you are using in the tournament.
And the phone number is so that in a last ditch effort to get in touch with you, I can (and this has been used several times during the Sapphire Star series).

I also will note that I have not heard from Paul Franz as of yet.

Please note that we are in the middle of a turn over, Leanna has retired and is not doing her function on this, and Jean Sexton-Beddow has taken over and may have to learn a few things to make sure all is smooth sailing.

But for now, can I ask those who want to enter or have entered to send the proper notification to me so I can set up my entry log.

Steve - I think players are used to signing up here:

https://www.sfbonline.com/tourn_signup.jsp

Not sure who sets that up but that might be throwing a wrench into things. I think all the info you have been getting before came from SFBOnline's database. We haven't had to enter it with every tournament signup

Since Sapphire began - we also have had to go to the store to pay. The sign up and paying have not been connected, two different activities, at least so far.

By Ronald J. Brimeyer (Captainron) on Tuesday, October 05, 2021 - 06:50 pm: Edit

Steve,

Did you get my E-mail?

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Tuesday, October 05, 2021 - 09:01 pm: Edit

Yeah, all that info came through the SFBOL signup page.

Usually, folks sign up there, and all that info is in a form. I suspect that Paul is MIA, and when we hear from him, he'll fix up the SFBOL tournament sign up and it'll all make more sense for everyone.

Ronald Brimeyer:

Yes, I got your E-mail.

By Paul Franz (Andromedan) on Wednesday, October 06, 2021 - 09:39 pm: Edit

The signup page is now setup for the Sapphire Star IX tournament

By Daniel Bitseff (Cadet_Stimpy) on Thursday, October 07, 2021 - 12:08 pm: Edit

do we need to re-sign up via the sign-up page if we've already sent an email?

By Peter Bakija (Bakija) on Thursday, October 07, 2021 - 04:00 pm: Edit

I can't imagine it will hurt.

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Friday, October 08, 2021 - 03:20 pm: Edit

With the signup page set, it would help if everyone signed up on it, or checked and confirm they were signed up.

Sign ups to date:

Seth Shimansky

Jack Taylor

Jason Gray

Peter D Bakija

Geoffrey D Clark

Graham M. Cridland

Daniel Bitseff

John Rigley

That shows eight and we need eight more.

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Monday, October 11, 2021 - 12:44 pm: Edit

We are still holding at eight.
