I think things have clearly gone a little wonky; in the early discussion, Ron indicated he sent an email, and Steve acknowledges it, but then a post or two later after the online registration system got turned on, there is a list of 8 people and Ron isn't on it, suggesting that Ron signed up by email, but then never signed up by online registration form, and things got confused.

Let's all take a deep breath, and wait for Steve to check in, and I'm sure he can fix all the things that need fixing.

Gentlemen and Lady:

The rules for Sapphire Star as originally posted allowed three (3) weeks for the first round to be played, but that was allowing for the Summer travel season. This is starting in after Nov 6th and following a two week schedule should finish on 31 Jan, but willprobably finished in early Janurary. If anyone has travel plans for before one of the Holidays, please let me know and we can try to work out a schedule (perhaps allowing three weeks for the last round, or the last two rounds).

The first round should conclude by 20 Nov 21.

The second round will begin on 21 Nov 21 and is to conclude on 4 Dec 21.

The third round will begin (tentatively) on 4 Dec 21 and is to conclude (tentatively) on 28 Dec 21.

The fourth round will begin (tentatively) on 29 Dec 21 and is to conclude (tentatively) on 20 Jan 22.

Does anyone have a problem with this schedule (perhaps needing to adjust the tentative schedule) or the tree?

REMINDER: There are strict deadlines: two weeks for each round. When matched with an opponent you have 72 hours to agree to a time to play. If the game cannot be completed, you must agree to a schedule to resume the game at the time the session ends, and must finish within the deadline. Any game not completed on time (or if both players request it) will be adjudicated and, if the game is inconclusive, the judge reserves the right to declare both players lost and fill the spot with a wild card. If someone drops out, disappears, or just won't schedule his game and there is time to put a wild card player into his place, we will do this if we can find one. If not, it will count as a forfeit and the other player will win and advance. There will be no forfeits in the final game, even if we have to find a wild card player (or have two players fight for the wild card spot) and start the two-week clock over again. Wild cards for the second and third rounds (and possibly the first round) will come from those who did not advance from those rounds.
