Simplest answer is to change the date of the E4J to Y80. Keep is simple, friends.

Was there ever a Lyran SJT? I know there is the STJ but that is not what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance.

Ien:

I am not sure what you are asking. There is a war cruiser, the STG. There is a heavy cruiser, the STT, there is a Dreadnought, the STL. What There is a new heavy cruiser, the NMC. I do not know what an SJT woiuyld be.

Thanks Steve that is what I was looking for.

Steve Jackson Transport. To tote those Munchkin expansion packs...

Sabertooth Jaguar Tug? (Because you can never have enough batteries.)

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Tuesday, November 09, 2021 - 02:38 pm: Edit

Well, it could not be a DND variant because the DND is Size Class 4 and except for the Andromedans those are prohibited from being maulers. The Lioness is too rare to provide a hull in my estimation, and I do not know if I want a Light Cruiser mauler or a battlecruiser mauler for theLyrans.

By Stewart Frazier (Frazikar3) on Tuesday, November 09, 2021 - 06:16 pm: Edit

Hmmm, an STP (Panther) mauler sounds interesting (even when compared to the STJ), the STW (Wildcat cause I don't think a Hellcat-mauler would fly) might be worth taking a look ...

Was there ever a Lyran Bobcat-D? Looking at the counters for Module K, there is a PFD, is this just the leader PF?

By Jeff Anderson (Jga) on Saturday, November 20, 2021 - 01:37 pm: Edit

(Ahh! An excuse to pull out a MSSB! :))

Seriously, there's no Bobcat-D in the Lyran MSSB. While I'm no expert, I usually think of the "D" suffix Gunboats as drone (or Plasma-D) variants; weapon types the Lyrans never used.

Then again, as often as I'm wrong about things (or just stupidly miss `em), you never know...

By John M. Williams (Jay) on Saturday, November 20, 2021 - 02:23 pm: Edit

There's not a PF/Bob-D in the Master Ship Annex section on PFs either. Best guess is a typo for PFT.

By Alan Trevor (Thyrm) on Saturday, November 20, 2021 - 03:50 pm: Edit

I've often thought there ought to be a Bobcat-D, though probably available only in limited numbers. The Lyrans do use dones on their fighters. And while there are obvious... complications... with trying to deploy drone racks on ESG-equipped ships, that wouldn't be an issue for PFs. So it seemed (seems) plausible to me that they might experiment with limited numbers of drone-armed Bobcats. But I don't think ADB has ever gone along with that.

Question re the Light Monitor , especially the Federation LMON.

The Federation LMON [Module R11] has 14 apr but no awr.
This means, as I understand it, some serious photon arming issues since there is only 4 warp !

Is this correct ?
If so, the LMON would have to be at WS 3 at all times so that it could hold photons, ovld or otherwise.

I do not see a Fed refit that brings in awr on place of the apr.

Thnaks.

Cheers
Frank

Hi Frank,

you use the (R1.22) rules for the species design notes (R1.22D).

See it now Wayne.

Thanks !

Can Freighter Skids be attached to a freighter pod which has been dropped off at a planet? Can a skid be dropped off by itself? What is the towing cost of a skid if tractored?

By wayne douglas power (Wayne) on Monday, December 20, 2021 - 05:45 am: Edit

Module R11,

Skids are considered to be part of the Freighter. Using a skid does not increase the movement or life support cost of the freighter.

I think you could release some skids like pods (G14.3), I think skids do not have independent status (G14.35)?

By Ken Kazinski (Kjkazinski) on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 - 11:57 am: Edit

The Klingon B10T's (R3.150, module R9) SSD shows a BPV of 333, does that include the pods or is that without the pods?

By Steve Petrick (Petrick) on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 - 02:07 pm: Edit

The title is emergency battleship. To change the pods, iyoiu deduct the cost of battle pod or battle pods (if both are replaced) and add the cost of any substituted pod (plus the cost of or any fighters or PFs or to upgrade any drones or etc.).

The December Hailing Frequencies had he North Polar Gun Frigate. Is there SFB information for the unit?

By wayne douglas power (Wayne) on Tuesday, January 04, 2022 - 04:53 am: Edit

John Wyszynski,

The skids do not seem to have a towing cost (at a guess perhaps something low from annex #7L, 0.1667, or 0.1250)

I have a query regarding the Hydran LNH. The 2 RA option mounts. Are they always RA arcs for all weapons you can put there? I ask because the client Id's Helbore as FA arc. Do they become FA for Helbore or remain rear firing, whatever you put on them?

By Jessica Orsini (Jessica_Orsini) on Wednesday, January 05, 2022 - 04:35 pm: Edit

They are, in fact, limited to RA; see (G33.12). The only exceptions would be drone racks (as they're 360-degree) or plasma-D racks (which can either both be AP, or one RPR and the other LPR).

By Ken Kazinski (Kjkazinski) on Sunday, January 09, 2022 - 10:45 pm: Edit

(R51.38) Frax CWS - This question has been asked before is the BPV correct 110/130 or should it be 130/110? The unit SSD is in C4 page 38.

By Jeff Anderson (Jga) on Sunday, January 09, 2022 - 11:15 pm: Edit

Ken, between us, I can't think of any other example of a scout type ship with a higher combat BPV than its economic, but I just checked Module G3 and it shows the 110/130.

As crazy as it may sound, at this point, I think you might have caught a typeo
