Checking for updates on 3.2 BS (KLI) vs Spartan (ISC) (as, ya know, I get winner :-)
I watched the end of T1, where the KLI ate 40 and 20 plasma on 2 different shields, took 9 internals, shot up the ISC #5 at R3 or R4, found 10 reinforcement, did 3 internals and then 4 more an impulse later with an extra P1. They ended at, like, R4, KLI still pursing, there were 6x1M on the map as well closing in.

Hey Peter,
Spartan ended up coming out on top. Here is a quick summary:
Turn 1 - in addition to your summary above, the ISC phaser fire at range 4 reduces the KLI #1 to a few boxes, before turning away. The KLI fires at range 4, and remains at range 4.
Turn 2 - ISC and KLI both have a high initial speed, and quickly drop, KLI a bit sooner than ISC. Once weapons cycle in 8 imps, KLI blasts with 4xOL + phasers on the #4, misses with two, sees 5 reinf, does a few internals. ISC counter fire of 2x360 phasers does a few internals through the #1. The rest of the turn, ISC runs from drones, ends up hitting the wall, popping WW on 2.31. KLI launches two new drones on 2.32.
Turn 3 - ISC is stopped, stays under PFC to try to let those other two drones remain tracking on the dead WW. KLI comes in at speed 10, then 15. Once KLI gets to range 5, ISC launches 40 pts (quick and rear F) under PFC, then launches a second WW. KLI turns out to reduce plasma, fires some phasers, plasma hits #5 and does 1 internal (ADD). ISC accels to 10 reverse, ends up getting an angle on the #5 before the KLI can turn the relatively strong #6, doing 19 internals with 6xph-1 at range 8. This starts to get into the shuttles. Turn ends at range 6.
Turn 4 - KLI plots speed 20, tries to close in, ISC has a -10/-7/-4 plot, gets in an OL PPD shot to pretty much remove all shields. KLI gets a good shot at the weakened #1, and scores a few internals. ISC launches an enveloper, KLI emer-decels, but before he stops, ISC blasts with 6xPh-1, takes out the last two shuttles, and Bill concedes after the enveloper takes the warp down to 1.
It was a great, quick game, very aggressive Klingon by Bill, got some good angles and good early shots, sacrificed shields to get into position. Missed with 2xOL DISR at the critical time on turn 2, else it might have been different. ISC was able create enough time and space to get the weapons re-armed and take advantage of the poor shields on the KLI at that point.

Thanks for the update!
We'll get a final game in at some point in the near future. This week is, unsurprisingly, bad.

As things stand, it is the ISC (Commander Spartan) coming down against the Gorn (Commander Bakija).
Good Luck to you both!

Thanks, SPP!
I suspect we'll start playing next week some time.

Hello SPP,
I would just like to point out that this tournament, I'm in the unique position (for me) of being the defending champion, in the same victorious ship!
Hey Peter,
I think you know my timezone, so I'm generally open at 7am JST, which I think should be 5pm EST the prior day.

Oh, jeez. I totally forgot that weird timezone situation (you are in Japan, yeah?). We'll figure something out next week.

Thanks for the update, the ISC vs Gorn will be a good battle to observe.

Well, maybe? If it is anything like the last one, it'll be short and terrible for me :-)

Final bakija (GRN) vs Spartan (ISC)
Two turns done.
T1: GRN moves 16/17/24. ISC moves 16/31/26. We move straight up the map for a bit. At R17, I launch a standard S torp out of tube B (right side). We close a little more. ISC launches an enveloper out of tube B. ISC speeds up to 31. Does not turn in. GRN slips out a bit. We get to R11. ISC fires PPD, hits with first pulse for 1-3-1, sees 4 total reinforcement on GRN #6 shield. GRN speeds up to 24 just in time to avoid the 4th PPD pulse unless the ISC turned directly into the incoming plasma S, so GRN avoids the last PPD pulse. ISC is at R8, so fires 5xP1 at GRN #6, rolls ok for 10 damage (all sticks). Next impulse (27), GRN slips towards ISC and incoming plasma G, launches an enveloped S torp out of tube A and fires 4xP1 at ISC at R8, rolls well, does 12 damage to ISC #6, all sticks. GRN turns out, ISC turns out, we just avoid plasma for the rest of the turn. The standard plasma S catches up to the ISC, ends up directly behind it, takes 4xP3 before the end of the turn for -8 off warhead. GRN ends with the enveloped G torp 2 hexes behind it. ISC has the standard S directly off its #4 and the enveloped S torp about 5 hexes behind it. Ships are facing opposite directions (GRN B, ISC E).
T2: GRN moves 31/17/24. ISC moves 17/18. GRN moves straight in direction B until impulse 10 when the enveloped G torp evaporates, then turns A, slows down to 17, and comes back around towards the middle of the map. ISC takes the standard S torp on the #4 on impulse 1 for what would have been 7 damage, but the torp is unsurprisingly fake. ISC moves away from enveloped S torp in direction E, turns F at some point. Plasma closes in. Plasma catches up to ISC, ISC fires 5xP3 into plasma, accelerates to 18 just in time to drag the plasma out to 21 hexes before it hits. Plasma hits, does 11 damage spread around after the phaser fire, all of it sticks. ISC comes around, we start closing on the middle of the map. Impulse 32 we are at R13, GRN a little closer to the middle of the map than the ISC. ISC launches an enveloped G torp out of tube C.
GRN shields are 27-30-24-24-21-13 (23 damage).
ISC shields are 28-28-22-22-22-17 (23 damage).
We'll pick up again at some point in the near future.

SS 15 Final.
bakija (GRN) over Spartan (ISC)
We start the turn at 13 hexes, facing each other, the ISC just launched an enveloped G torp on impulse 32 of T2.
T3: GRN plots speed 26 till late, dropping to 17 for 25 moves, has S, F, F held, second turn on other S torp, drops the weasel it was holding, has 5 in tractor. ISC moves 16/26/13 for 15 moves, rearms PPD, both G torps, phasers, has 2 in HET, 1 in tractor, 2 weasels held.
GRN closes in. ISC fired PPD when I hit R10, it hits on first pulse, gets spread over shields 1/2/3, split 1/2 a couple times, square on #2 a couple times. GRN is undeterred. Enveloped G closes. At R5, the ISC fires 4xP1 at GRN #2 for 16 damage, leaving the #2 at 3 boxes. ISC speeds up to 26. Full enveloper hits, doing 40 spread around, GRN takes 3 internals (nothing real vital). GRN uses 2 batteries to speed up to 27 for the rest of the turn. ISC turns dir A (GRN facing F). GRN closes. ISC HETs DIR E and launches a rear F and a fast F out of the facing G tube. GRN is surprised, and thinks the fast F is a pseudo. It turns out not to be a pseudo when the GRN takes both for full and 34 internals through the #6. GRN takes a bunch of damage, including 3 unused batteries (that was dumb of me), but only loses one tractor and some phasers, but no plasma tubes. GRN put the last 2 batteries into tractors before they get shot off. GRN pursues. ISC slows down to 13 unexpectedly. ISC fires 2xP1 over 2 impulses through the GRN down #6, hits stuff, but does not hit any plasma tubes or the second tractor. ISC announces emergency deceleration. GRN gets to R2, on the GRN #1/#6, ISC #4/#5 spine before the ISC is stopped. GRN feels confident it can get a R2 tractor, and gives it a try. ISC has 1 available for anti-tractor allocated, so GRN gets the tractor, drops to speed 13 (ISC at 0). ISC drops its #5 and tries a couple hit and runs (plasma F, tractor), but they fail. GRN launches the facing F, which goes through the ISC dropped #5 in a few impulses, for 20 in. GRN turns, launches 50 more plasma. ISC gets to raise the #5 just in time for the 50 plasma to hit it, for 28 more internals. GRN drops tractor, gets to R1 off the ISC's now down in earnest #5. ISC launches a weasel for the shift. GRN fires 4xP1, 1xP3 into the ISC, doing 19 more in through the shift. GRN launches 2 (manned) shuttles, and moves off. ISC considers the situation and resigns.
GRN shields are 13-0-15-17-14-0. Has 46 internals. 22 power, 4xP1, 1xP3, all 4 plasma tubes still (and an S torp coming up on T4).
ISC shields are 28-28-22-22-0-17. Has 68 internals. 15 power. 3xP1, 2xP3, 1x G tube as total weapons. G tube can't fire till T5. ISC has 2 shuttle bays left, one of which has a weasel in it, which is something, but not enough.
Great game vs an excellent opponent.
I ran into some not insignificant issues due to my SFBOL client still being messed up (I can't see the first column of the movement chart, so a couple of times, I did things thinking it was the wrong impulse, which was bad; if anyone has shuttles on the map, I can't get back to map view). I need to get that fixed, but all reasonable attempts to fix it have failed.
