The sentence "See (R8.R7) for authorized weapons." appears in many (maybe all) ship descriptions. The (R8.R7) refers to carrier escorts. But it is included with ships that are not escorts. The authorized weapons are in Annex #8B.

If an Orion takes a special sensor in an option mount, is it destroyed on either a torp/drone hit or (is this listed somewhere)??

Stewart: it's buried down in Annex #7E; Orion special sensors in option mounts are destroyed on "torpedo" hits.
