Yup.

John,

You need to take another look at the ISC XFFc.

Does the Captain sit in Auxillary control all day?:) Theres no Bridge on the SSD.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Wednesday, September 03, 2003 - 09:39 pm: Edit

Gods. :)

I'll update both the DD and FF.

By Tos Crawford (Tos) on Wednesday, September 03, 2003 - 09:53 pm: Edit

The ISC create a gunline ship that is under the direct control of a flag officer located in the falg bridge on a flag ship. Loss of the flag bridge on the flag ship results in the gunline ships automatically becoming uncontrolled. One gunline ship can be controlled for each flag bridge box. When operating as a squadron under full control they get some sort of combat benefit.

Ken,

ISC XFF and XDD updated.

Theres a problem with a number of the ships posted on John's Web Page.

Many of them are lacking the ADB Copywrite notice and Status pending declaration to match ADB's web policy. I didn't notice it until I was starting on the Gorn XCC and did a quick review of all the ships I had DL'd from his site.

Here's a list of what I could find quickly.

JT Fed XCAv5
Gorn XBC
Hydran XCAv5
Rom XKE
kln_X2_v5
kzinti_X2_v5

ALL of the ISC are missing the ADB Copy notice.

A suggestion for a quick fix. Erase the Ph3 table and place the Copyright notice there. Please just move tables around and not the ship. If a single SSD box is moved by even a pixel I have to redo the entire ship def.
<EDIT>

By Mike Raper (Raperm) on Thursday, September 04, 2003 - 07:59 am: Edit

If anyone wants, feel free to copy the copyright notice from mine, and just replace the name. It's vertical, on the left side of the sheet, so it doesn't get in the way.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Thursday, September 04, 2003 - 08:26 pm: Edit

John I just emailed you the RomXCCv4.

It's not real different from the previous v3. But I made a few minor changes to the ship. And a number of neatening changes to the tables.

The v4 of each of the Rom's will be pretty much the same way. Minor ship changes and major table upgrades. But I've been so busy doing stuff. that I probably wont have the others done until next week.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Thursday, September 04, 2003 - 08:29 pm: Edit

Ken, that's fine. I should have copyright notices on my SSDs some time today.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Thursday, September 04, 2003 - 10:19 pm: Edit

Ken,

Copyright notices are up on my stuff.

Your SSD is up.

A Kzinti XBC comparison page is up.

Mike's rules are posted.

The fun starts at

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 05, 2003 - 05:22 am: Edit

I didn't mean to start out as a proof reader. But by looking closely at each SSD while I make a ship def of it has turned me into one.:(

I should have caught the copyright stuff right of the bat. But I just wasn't looking for it earlier. But I will from now on.

The main reason I brought it up. Is that it's a very big no no to post any SSD's without it.

Incidentally John. I just sent the Rom XCA to you. No rush on posting it.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 05, 2003 - 05:37 am: Edit

A suggestion. When we write rules we should use the CL#23 Rules templates. But we should place X in front of them.

The std is the Rule letter you Initials the number for the rule your submitting. decimal place and then the subrules.

For example: My first Plasma Rule

FPKJ1.Plasma Rule
Arming Cost hit on etc etc.

We don't need the WHOLE thing. But we should follow the templates guidelines.

But since we are doing X Tech we might want to place X in front.

XFPKJ1.Plasma Rule

This is just a suggestion. It might help cut down on any confusion. It is what I intend to do, once I write my rules in a more formal manner.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 05, 2003 - 06:24 am: Edit

Well I'm not immune to posted screw ups:( Dang!:)

The Rom XCCv4 I sent to John yesterday has one row of engine boxes missing on the left C Warp engine.

John I just sent you a corrected SSD for the XCC.

And just so everyone knows. I found it while doing a ship def. It's so obvious I should have caught it before. But I didn't.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Friday, September 05, 2003 - 02:53 pm: Edit

Ken,

Both your SSDs are up.

As are MJC's rules.

I will post people stuff as far as assigning overall rule numbers.

Mike Raper's first plasma rule will be XFPMR1.0 but after that Mike's on his own. I only do my own stuff for rule-by-rule numbering.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 12, 2003 - 08:43 am: Edit

John T.

I sent you 5 SSD's. The XNH, XFH, XSK, XSKmodular, XSE. No rush on putting them up. Take your time. I promise this is the last of the Rom XCA/XCC ships until the first round of playtesting is done.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Saturday, September 13, 2003 - 12:31 pm: Edit

All your stuff is posted, Ken.

When you get your last Rom SSd to me, I'll add a Romulan Fleet page for them and clear your normal SSD galley out for new stuff (i.e. the same thing I did for my ISC ships)

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 - 10:46 am: Edit

John, the last 2 rom ships just got sent. Along with a copy of the rules.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 - 11:24 pm: Edit

Well I was going to finish of My Orion XCA. But I just noticed that I didn't give it any Labs. Oh well back to the rack. (Time to stretch it again.)

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Thursday, September 18, 2003 - 12:21 am: Edit

Ken,

Your Rom SSDs are up

You have a lot of whitespace along the bottom of your latest two.

Your rules will be up tomorrow sometime.

When depends on how work goes.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Thursday, September 18, 2003 - 09:37 am: Edit

Hmm thats a goof. I'll resend them with the extra whitespace removed.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 03:50 am: Edit

Mike R.

You need to revise your F-XDD SSD. Shield #3 is only str 28. While the other shields are str 32.

I already opened it up in paint and added the extra row of shield boxes for the SFBOL ship.def.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 05:05 am: Edit

All SSD's on Vorlons 2X Web pages have been done as SFBOL Ship.defs. Except revising the Romulans themselves. But they will be done soon.

By Kenneth Jones (Kludge) on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 07:48 am: Edit

I was incorrect. I meant to say they would all be finished today.

Mike R. Your Klingon XDD needs Sensors/scanners/etc.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 04:38 pm: Edit

I have the Klingon XDD and a Fed XDD. They'll be up soon.

By John Trauger (Vorlonagent) on Friday, September 19, 2003 - 09:20 pm: Edit

They're up.
