Star Fleet Battles Commander's Edition, Supplement #3 Available
"Sir, whatever is approaching isn't in our database. They look Lyran, but are bigger than their Interceptors."
"Lieutenant, those are the fast patrol ships, also called gunboats. We didn't realize the Lyrans were actually deploying them. Let's move out and report this to the admiral."
While the Lyrans were the first to deploy interceptors and fast patrol ships, all empires except the Federation quickly adopted them. (Conjectural versions of the fast patrol ships for the Federation are included.)
Star Fleet Battles Commander's Edition, Supplement #3 includes new rules, new SSDs, new ship types (PF leaders and Interceptors), six new scenarios, and a PF campaign. Images for 216 counters are also included.
This has been scanned from the best available copy. You will need Star Fleet Battles Commander's Edition volume I to use this material. Volumes II and III will be needed for some aspects.

Star Fleet Battles: Campaign Designer's Handbook Now Available
Build Your Own Galaxy!
Everything you need to design and run your own Star Fleet Universe campaign!
Campaigns are the ultimate expression of Star Fleet Battles. Only in a campaign setting does everything -- cost, fleets, technology, availability, movement, economics, deployments -- come together into a complete picture of war in space!
The Campaign Designer's Handbook provides options allowing you to create a campaign that suits your own tastes and interests.
You won't find very many specific, numbered rules; this is meant as a set of guidelines and a discussion of campaign structure, not as any kind of official declaration of how you should run your campaign.
This product adds new strategic game play situations, ships, and concepts for Star Fleet Battles. You must have at least the SFB Basic Set Rulebook and SSD Book to use this material. Options for using advanced and supplementary materials are included; to use those options will require those materials.

Captain's Log #17 Now Available from Multiple Sources
The General War was the largest and longest conflict ever fought in the Milky Way Galaxy. Volumes have been written on every aspect of the war; this brief outline is intended as a general guide for further research into the subject.
When this 96-page issue was published in June of 1995, nobody knew that Task Force was in deep trouble and would soon be reduced to a very dim light before going completely dark. The format of the time was 96 pages "plus something" and the something in this issue was a sheet of extra tournament counters.
HISTORY includes "A Brief History of the General War," as well as information about the Galactic Intelligence Agency's awards, Seltorian rank structure, and the Star Fleet report on Kumerian's Red Fleet.
DATABASE (which became the commo section in later issues) includes conventions, rated aces, Input Guide, Why, Proposals Board, Kommodore Ketrick, After Action Review, Command the Future, several rules examples, Battle Force 500, a scenario workshop, Ten Questions, humor, and a play aid for planetary invasions.
UNIVERSE (which later became venues) includes Arcturians in Prime Directive, new missions for Star Fleet Missions, an article on miniatures, reports on Star Fleet Warlord, and background on artist Dan Carroll.
SCENARIOS includes 10 new ones (SL157-166.)
TACTICS includes information about terrain, information about mine warfare, Term Papers, Victory at Origins 94, and Ask Uncle Ardak.
FEDERATION & EMPIRE includes Q&A, Tactical Notes, a Federation play aid card, the original F&E combat system, Seltorians in F&E, and a scenario about the Eastern Theater.
New ships include fast cruisers for the Federation and Klingons, heavy destroyers for the Kzintis and Lyrans, six cadet ships, and Federation squadrons for new strike carrier group and a new light cruiser squadron.
A special feature was the supplemental tournament countersheet; an image of it is included with the PDF.

Star Fleet Battles: Module C1 - New Worlds I (2015) Now Available
Lyrans and Hydrans and WYNs, oh my! New enemies, new allies, and new challenges for Star Fleet Battles. All newly revised for 2015! (Countersheets were revised in 2007.)
Explore these new empires, fly their ships, and conquer new enemies in the scenarios that are included!
Lyrans are allied with the Klingons and are mortal enemies of the Kzintis. These Lynx-humanoids developed the powerful expanding sphere generator. Their catamaran hulls are easily converted into larger trimaran warships.
Hydrans are methane breathers who border the Lyrans and Klingons. Once conquered by both empires, they fought their way to freedom and now threaten those who once defeated them. They fight with deadly fusion beams or hellbores (command ships have both!). They are also known for their lethal Stinger fighters.
WYNs are a vibrant society built by Kzinti and Lyran refugees, supported by Orion Pirates. They are surrounded by dense radiation fields that allow their ragtag fleet to have a fighting chance against larger ships that have been damaged by that radiation.
The 54-page rulebook includes information about the weapons (fusion beams, hellbore cannons, expanding sphere generators) and WYN Radiation Zone, as well as the background information on the ships. It has four scenarios and one campaign. Annexes and the Master Ship Chart for the ships are also included.
The 65-page SSD book has 18 Hydran ships along with tug pallets and fighter squadrons, 15 Lyran ships along with tug pallets, and 16 WYN ships. There are also generic units that have been specialized for some of the empires, so you will find fighter squadrons for Lyrans and WYNs, Q-ships for the Lyrans and Hydrans, and bases and defense satellites for the Hydrans. You will also find small and large fusion-armed freighters. It is available in B&W and as an ebook only in color.
You must have the Star Fleet Battles Basic Set (or the Master Rulebook) to use this material. Most of the material will also require Advanced Missions. Also useful are Modules J, K, M, R2, and R3.

Because this issue had to go to press as soon as possible, it has a lot more fiction than normal (and three Victory At articles).
HISTORY includes three fiction stores: A Dragon's Story, Romulan Raid, and A Friend in Need. Also included are a military rank comparison chart and some universe notes.
DATABASE (which became the commo section in later issues) includes conventions, an introduction to the new company, input guide, After Action Reports on recent products, Command the Future (schedule of future releases), Proposals Board, Why, Ten Questions, Ask Kommodore Ketrick, and Humor.
UNIVERSE (which later became venues) has articles on Star Fleet Warlord, the Paravians in SFB, the Vudar in SFB, and revised tournament ships.
SCENARIOS includes seven new ones (SL167-SL173).
TACTICS includes an article on Andromedans, term papers, Patrol victory at Origins 94, Victory at Eurogencon 95, Victory at Origins 96, The Andro Conspiracy, and Ask Uncle Ardak.
FEDERATION & EMPIRE includes news, Q&A, plans for new product development, combat trials, the Militant ISC option, Tactical Notes, Hydran Liberation Scenario, a preview of the Admirals rule, and the map for Sector G.

For the Glory of the Empire Is Now Available
Newly re-edited, this collection of short stories is now available as an ebook and in paper.
It is our honor to bring glory to the Empire!
This is the Star Fleet Universe, based on Star Trek: The Original Series. Meet Klingons who have missions, wars, and battles of their own to fight!
In "For the Good of the Empire" Klingon military intelligence hires an Orion ship (Orions are notoriously known for skirting the edge of the law) to carry their agents into enemy space, but can they trust this Orion?
In "The Threads of War" there is a new class of Klingon war cruiser. It is given its combat trials and flies into the middle of a political maelstrom.
In "Flotilla Commander" there is a new commander. How will the flotilla of gunboats (small, cheap, and heavily armed) shake down?
In "A Plague on Their Houses" a new Klingon heavy battlecruiser flies into combat. When mutinous crewmen poison the officers, will it survive?
In "Fight Fire with Fire" the Klingons decide to avenge an ancient insult. The offenders? The Tholians!
The Star Fleet Universe is published under license from Franz Joseph Designs, authors of the Star Fleet Technical Manual.
Elements of the Star Fleet Universe are the property of Paramount Pictures Corporation and are used with their permission.
Also includes scenarios for Federation Commander and one for Star Fleet Battles. However, you do not need to own or play the games to enjoy the fiction in this book.
