Fourth Wave of Ships Released!
On September 1, 2017, Amarillo Design Bureau released its fourth wave of ships (56 in all, for over 150 available ships) in its store on Shapeways.
The Federation gets the galactic survey cruiser which in peacetime cruises through areas not yet explored, searching for new civilizations and for planets suitable for colonization but not inhabited by sapient species. In wartime they become powerful fleet scouts that can carry six fighters.
The Klingons get the largest ship ever to fly, the B10B battleship. While this ship is one piece, the B10B boom was originally designed to detach and so the B10B boom is also available. The B10K battleship with more aztecking is also available.
The Romulans get a flotilla of Centurion gunboats. They also get the powerful Falcon mauler.
The Tholians get even more carriers: the destroyer carrier, the heavy carrier, the police carrier, and the war cruiser carrier. These one-piece ships have the fighters they carry molded into the mini.
The Hydrans add to their fleet with the Crusader frigate leader, Cuirassier frigate, and the Paladin dreadnought. They also get a flotilla of Harrier gunboats.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their dreadnought. They also get their Bobcat gunboat flotilla.
The WYN Star Cluster has a ragtag fleet that can only win because every ship that comes through the radiation barrier is badly degraded. Their auxiliary dreadnought is known as the "Nancy." They also get their Freedom Fighter gunboat flotilla.
The Seltorians add a new heavy cruiser (NCA).
The Frax get a war cruiser scout to use its powerful special sensors to locate enemy targets and threats.
The Maesron add a light cruiser to their fleet. They all are also now available in the larger 3125 Scale.
The Trobrins add the Patroller to their fleet.
The Koligahr are part of the Omega Octant and the spherical hull sections of their ships are built underwater, and then launched into space to be assembled in orbit. Check out their patrol boat!
Two new tugs show up without any pods: the Harbor and Salvage tugs.
And we introduce some new empires, too!
Probr ships are built from a combination of one of more of the "basic hulls" and various wings are added on. Their Steel Heavy Cruiser is an example of this building technique.
The Orion Pirates are, well, pirates. They get their Buccaneer gunboat flotilla.
Have we got a monster for you! The space manta wasn't found until fairly late in recorded history because it destroyed every ship it found. Can you be the first to defeat it? The space manta comes in three different sizes.
Because you asked for them, we have added stands (both a single one and a dozen in a sprue) and stand toppers that will hold three, four, or six fighters or gunboats. We hope you like them.

Federation Commander Scenario Log #2 Released
Scenarios form a great deal of the history of the Star Fleet Universe. These scenarios (over 50 of them!) were originally published in Communique #1 through Communique #85. Here they are gathered into one spot as you requested.
Earlier scenarios have been updated to the current format. More options have been added to some of the scenarios. Even better, there is an index by empire involved and the number of players.
You will need Federation Commander ship cards and rules to play these scenarios; however, you can also simply enjoy reading about the various parts of Star Fleet Universe history.

STARMADA UNITY CONTINUES
We have released Romulan Armada Unity, the second book in the new edition. This edition unifies the previous Nova and Admiralty editions, so there will no longer be Starmada fans who cannot game together. The new rules preserve the best of both previous systems, and add dynamic seeking weapons rules that do what seeking weapons are supposed to do: force the enemy to move out of key areas or shoot his way through a swam of drones. Next year, the sixth book in the series, RUMORS OF WARS, as well as the seventh and eighth books, will appear in the Unity format only.
Because we want to bring all Starmada players together, we're making Unity a free PDF upgrade for anyone who bought the Nova or Admiralty editions of this book. Nothing was wrong with either edition, other than the fact that it was harder to find opponents who played by the same rulebook. That problem is now solved.
If you bought a PDF of either the Admiralty edition or Nova edition through Warehouse 23, DriveThru RPG, or Wargame Vault, then your PDF library now contains the original older Nova or Admiralty edition you bought AND the new Unity edition we're giving you. As each book is replaced (Romulan Armada now, the others -- Distant Armada, Alien Armada, and Battleships Armada -- over the next few months) we will take the old editions off sale (but leave them in your library) and upload the new edition for sale to new players. (If you want the Starmada Logs, then you need to purchase them promptly as they will not be updated nor will they remain on sale after the last of the old books is taken down.)
Get your copy of Romulan Armada Unity from the following sources:
Warehouse 23: http://www.warehouse23.com/products/ADB6132
DriveThru RPG: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/221277/
Wargame Vault: http://www.wargamevault.com/product/221277/
It is available in hardcopy from ADB: http://www.starfleetstore.com/starmada-c-89/romulan-armada-unity-p-1256.html
Anyone who bought a hardcopy of Romulan Armada Nova or Romulan Armada Admiralty can get a free PDF copy by contacting us at marketing@starfleetgames.com. If you want to replace your hardcopy Nova/Admiralty book with a hardcopy Unity book, we'll sell you one for our cost ($8, less than half price) plus shipping. Hardcopies of Nova/Admiralty books will no longer be available but you will be able to buy hard copies of the new Unity books from ADB, Inc.

Our hearts go out to the people and families whose lives were affected by the terrible shooting in Las Vegas. However, after careful consideration, we have decided to keep our promise to release new starships in our store on Shapeways. You, our customers, deserve a bit of normality on this day.

Fifth Wave of Ships Released!
On October 2, 2017, Amarillo Design Bureau released its fifth wave of ships (76 in all, for over 200 available ships) in its store on Shapeways.
The Federation gets the guided weapons destroyer which was inspired by encounters with the Kzintis and their drone technology. They also get their drone-armed F-18 Hornet fighters. Especially exciting is the release of the first of the Franz Joseph ships, the Federation destroyer. This is the official Franz Joseph design offered by ADB, Inc. under its contract with Franz Joseph Designs. (We plan to release all five of the Franz Joseph Federation ships over time.)
The Klingons get the B10K battleship boom with more aztecking than the B10B boom, the F5 frigate, and the F5W war destroyer.
The Romulans add a Snipe frigate, BattleHawk destroyer, and the massive King Condor Battleship.
The Tholians add their DPW dreadnought, new heavy cruiser, pocket battleship, and scout. For those who use the pinwheel battle formation, there is a stand topper so you can add your patrol corvettes and variants to it. There is also a one-piece patrol corvette pinwheel with standard patrol corvettes. They also get a large web tender and a larger freighter.
The Kzintis get their frigate and their TAAS fighters.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their battlecruiser, war cruiser scout, and war destroyer.
The Seltorians add a new light cruiser (NCL).
The Frax get a police cutter to patrol their space and startle young Klingon cadets.
The Vulpa were part of the Maesron Alliance but later became independent. They get a blockade runner.
The Trobrins add a command cruiser to their fleet. All of their ships are now available also in the larger 3125 Scale.
Probr ships are built from a combination of one of more of the "basic hulls" and various wings are added on. The Bronze destroyer is the latest addition to their fleet.
The Koligahr are part of the Omega Octant and the spherical hull sections of their ships are built underwater, and then launched into space to be assembled in orbit. They get their Fighter Killer. All of their ships are also now available in the larger 3125 Scale.
The small auxiliary cruiser shows up to protect systems from raiders and pirates.
Have we got a monster for you! The planet killer is a robot starship that was built as a doomsday machine. Its powerful destruction beam can destroy a starship or slice a planet into digestible sections. Will you be able to defeat it? The small Planet Killer is about 2"; the medium Planet Killer is about 3"; the large Planet Killer is about 4"; the extreme Planet Killer is about 6" and designed for two flight stands.

ADB Releases the Sixth Wave of Ships!
On November 1-2, 2017, Amarillo Design Bureau released its sixth wave of ships (85 in all, for over 300 available ships) in its store on Shapeways.
The Federation gets the scout which has an abundance of sensor dishes. They also get four fighters: the A-10 "Warthog," A-20 "Avenger," F-14 "Tomcat," and F-15 "Eagle." Especially exciting is the release of the second of the Franz Joseph ships, the Federation scout with no visible sensor dishes. This is the official Franz Joseph design offered by ADB, Inc. under its contract with Franz Joseph Designs. (We plan to release all five of the Franz Joseph Federation ships over time.)
The Klingons get plenty of ships! To better match the original metal Starline 2500 miniatures with their molded-in windows, they have the F5B frigate, D5WB war destroyer, F6B battle frigate, and the HF5B heavy war destroyer. The smoother-winged Klingon ships include the F5S frigate scout, F6 battle frigate, HF5 heavy war destroyer, and SD7B unrefitted strike cruiser. Aztecked designs include the F5WK refitted war destroyer, F6K refitted battle frigate, HF5K refitted war destroyer, D6SK cruiser scout, F5K refitted frigate, F5SK refitted frigate scout, D7K refitted battlecruiser, and SD7K refitted strike cruiser.
The Romulans add the SaberHawk heavy war destroyer, SkyHawk-A destroyer, and War Eagle cruiser.
The Tholians add their command cruiser, web caster command cruiser, dreadnought carrier, scout destroyer, and mighty battleship. For those who use the pinwheel battle formation, there is a stand topper so you can add your destroyers and variants to it. There is also a one-piece destroyer pinwheel with standard destroyers.
The Kzintis get their destroyer and scout frigate.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their PF/gunboat tender, war PF/gunboat tender, and transport tug with two Lyran pallets.
The Seltorians add their strike carrier with its escorts: an escort light cruiser and destroyer escort. The Seltorians licensed from the Klingons their Z-Y fighters, which were released earlier.
The Frax get the first of their submarine ships, a frigate, to startle young Klingon cadets when it fires while cloaked.
Probr ships are built from a combination of one of more of the "basic hulls" and various wings are added on. The dreadnought is the latest addition to their fleet.
The Drex from the Omega Octant are introduced with their battlecruiser and battledestroyer.
The large auxiliary cruiser shows up to protect systems from raiders and pirates.
Most empires used these generic ships: a large freighter (presented in ballast mode with no pods), a small freighter (also in ballast mode), and a large ore carrier.

ADB Releases Ships for December!
On December 5, 2017, Amarillo Design Bureau completed its seventh wave of ships (79 in all, for over 400 available ships) in its store on Shapeways.
The Federation gets the strike cruiser and fleet tug with one pod. They also get two fighters: the F-8 "Crusader" and the F-16 "Falcon." Especially exciting is the release of the third of the Franz Joseph ships, the Federation transport/tug with one pod. This is the official Franz Joseph design offered by ADB, Inc. under its contract with Franz Joseph Designs. (We plan to release all five of the Franz Joseph Federation ships over time. There will be more tugs with no pods, two pods, and various pods.)
A new line of "Fed Classic" ships was started in response to requests for smooth saucers. This line now has the heavy cruiser, galactic survey cruiser, guided weapons destroyer, scout, strike carrier, and fleet tug.
The Klingons aren't neglected. They get their D6B heavy cruiser and the aztecked D6K refitted heavy cruiser.
The Romulans add the Scout Eagle, Freight Eagle, SparrowHawk-A light cruiser, and SparrowHawk-C scout cruiser. By request, the 3788 Scale Vulture dreadnought was added. They also got four fighters: Gladiator II/III assault fighter, Gladiator III-K assault fighter, Gladiator-D superiority fighter, and Gladiator-F superiority fighter.
If you want to decorate your game room with hanging ships, then you have a choice of the Federation heavy cruiser, Romulan War Eagle, or Klingon D7. There's even a decorative display stand that should show them off in all their glory.
Showing up for the first time are the Juggernauts which were built in another galaxy and sent to check us out. The heavy cruiser and missile dreadnought should prove a challenge for the Milky Way residents.
The Tholians add their web caster heavy cruiser, heavy dreadnought, disruptor-armed patrol corvette, and war cruiser scout. For those who use the pinwheel battle formation, there is a stand topper so you can add your police cutter and variants to it. There is also a one-piece police cutter pinwheel with standard police cutters.
The Kzintis get their drone frigate, scout destroyer, and FFK frigate with its C-9 refit.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic get their Puma transport tug with two Klingon pods.
The Seltorians add their heavy destroyer.
The WYNs add an auxiliary scout.
The Frax get the second of their submarine ships, a destroyer, to startle young Klingon ensigns when it fires while cloaked.
Empires from the Omega Octant continue to have new additions. The Brass frigate is the latest addition to Probr fleet. The Drex get their battlefrigate. The Trobrin get their Sapphire frigate scout. The Maesron add a bombardment cruiser. A dreadnought joins the Koligahr fleet.
The jumbo auxiliary cruiser shows up to protect systems from raiders and pirates.
