Enjoy your day SVC. I'm quite enjoying Snowpiercer despite the idiotic premise. If you haven't binged Westworld yet, that's a top show!

THURSDAY; I played Flotsam to 2am, slept to 10am, had lunch, watched Resident Alien and the new (surprisingly good) Superman show, walked a mile and fed the neighborhood dogs, watched a Youtube video on the Pentatuche, played more Flotsam, checked the BBS.

A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, Book Two Is Now Available
"Here we lay our web. Here we stand between our enemy and all we hold dear. Live or die, here we fight."
This is the much anticipated A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, Book 2. There are more ships for empires you enjoyed in Book 1.2: Federation, Klingons, Romulans, Kzintis, and Gorns. The Orion Pirates and Tholians that were introduced in Book 1.2 now have full-scale fleets you can use. In addition, the Seltorians, deadly foes of the Tholians, are introduced and have a powerful fleet to hunt the Tholians down. There are monsters for your fleets to defeat: the massive Juggernaut, the Planet Killer that breaks down planets for fuel and doesn’t care if the worlds are inhabited or not, the Moray Eel of Space which eats ships, and the Sun Snake that makes stars go nova. There are more civilian bases and ships to protect and a few ships that are sheepdogs in sheep's clothing. And there is a preview of WYN ships.
New types of ships include scouts to help you in your battles and commando ships to deliver troops to a planet or board an enemy's ship. The WYN Radiation Zone is new terrain to appear on your table. New weapons, new traits, and new special actions flesh out this book. There are lots of new scenarios that should test your wit and skills. There are templates to construct your own Tholian webs. (Web panels are also available in our shop on Shapeways.) There is information on making your own planets and a how-to guide on painting Orion Pirate ships. Finally, there is a consolidated index to both Book 1.2 and Book 2.
Book Two has all the rules and information you need to play the game when combined with Book 1.2. Please note that you must have Book 1.2 to play this game. Book Two is an expansion.

FRIDAY: I started on the SFB Update sheet and solved the graphic problem on R4J so I could send the other four sheets to Cenveo (the printer).
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Saturday, February 27, 2021 - 05:10 pm: Edit |
SATURDAY; I finished the Marines update, checked the first four countersheets (good to go except the staff really should have changed the WYN DWP to DWY), and reorganized my list of things to do.
I have a gap of four or six or eight weeks until the counters come home. TacOps rulebook needs to be ready when they get here. In the meantime I plan to finish GurpsRoms21 and ACTASFreinforcements1.

What about sending the old F&E Rulebooks to Warehouse 23? Where does that stand?
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Sunday, February 28, 2021 - 01:32 am: Edit |
I did not see it on my list in the office today. Perhaps when I get there Monday I can see about putting it on the list. If I can just remember.

EMail reminder on it's way Monday morning.

Ryan, the first thing I need to know is what rulebooks need to be done by this method. I'm sure Planetary Ops is one of them but which others need doing? Also, which book has special raids because I want to include the new SR rule from CapLog.

ADB Releases Ships for March 2021
On March 1, 2021, ADB released 48 new items to its shop on Shapeways, which has over 2,500 items available in total. This month, we released new ships for the Hydrans, ISC, Lyrans, and WYNs. The Carnivons get their first modern ships. The second fleet for the Triangulum Galaxy belongs to the Arachnid Worlds of Unions. Please note that all miniatures are available in both 3788 and 3125 scales, except when noted.
The Hydrans add two new X-ship destroyers, the Knight-X and the Lancer-X. In Omni Scale, they get the Stinger-X fighters that many of their X-ships carry.
The ISC gains its War Cruiser, Heavy War Cruiser, Light Gunboat/PF Tender, and Light Battle Transport (a Light Tactical Transport carrying a battle pod). They increase their shipping with their empire-specific Omni Scale Small Freighter and Large Freighter.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic gain more X-ships with their Advanced Destroyer, Advanced Light Cruiser, and Wildcat-X Battlecruiser. (The LDR called these the War Destroyer, Advanced War Cruiser, and Battlecruiser-X.) Note that LDR ships are only in the 3125 Scale. The Lyrans also get the same ships in a "refitted" version with aztecking in the 3788 Scale.
The WYNs get their Light Tactical Transport in two versions. One has Klingon pods; the other, Kzinti pods.
The Carnivons hit the big time with their modern Heavy Cruiser and Command Cruiser. In the 7000 Scale, they get a three-cruiser squadron with two heavy cruisers led by a command cruiser.
The Triangulum Galaxy, located 2.73 million light years from the Milky Way Galaxy, is another setting for the Star Fleet Universe and is explored in Star Fleet Battles Module E2. The Arachnids, with their Worlds of Unions, are one of those species and empires. The Arachnids gain their fleet comprised of the Gryphon Frigate, Cockatrice Destroyer, Wyvern Light Cruiser, Dragon Heavy Cruiser, Behemoth Dreadnought, and Basilisk Scout.

ADB Releases Ships for April 2021
No joke! On April 1, 2021, ADB released 56 new items to its shop on Shapeways, which has over 2,600 items available in total. This month, we released new ships for the Federation, Klingons, ISC, Orion Pirates, and Tholians. The Lyrans and LDR get combinations of their police ships. Please note that all miniatures are available in both 3788 and 3125 scales, except when noted.
The Federation starts with two police ships: the Improved Police Cutter and the Police Destroyer.
The Klingons make a grand presentation with variations of the B10 Battleship: The B10P Stellar Exploitation Ship and the B10S Space Control Ship. They make an even enormous splash with the WB10 Super Battleship and its six engines. With two dozen Z-Y fighters and a dozen gunboats, it became the WB10P Super Domination Ship.
The ISC gains its Heavy Scout and Gunboat/PF Tender.
The Orions get their Salvage Tug, which is hauling off two unfortunate freighters for nefarious purposes.
The Tholians gain many ships, most from Star Fleet Battles: Module R4T - The Tholian Will. They have their Battleship Carrier, Destroyer Leader, Heavy Fighter Carrier, Improved Police Destroyer, Improved Police War Destroyer, Police Destroyer Carrier, Police Destroyer Leader, Police Destroyer Scout, Police War Destroyer Carrier, Police War Destroyer Leader, and Police War Destroyer Scout. The Heavy War Cruiser and War Cruiser Leader are both from Module R10.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic gain pairs of police ships and a squadron of police ships. They get pairs of Manx Police Corvettes and their Caracal Military Police Corvettes. The squadron has a Caracal commanding two Manx Police Corvettes. Note that LDR ships are only in the 3125 Scale. The Lyrans also get the same ships in a "refitted" version with aztecking in the 3788 Scale.

Revised GURPS Romulans Now Available!
Newly revised in 2021, GURPS Romulans is the sourcebook for the GURPS Prime Directive's Romulan Star Empire, the Federation's longest-standing foe. The Romulans are the most intriguing enemy faced by the Federation, and the Romulans definitely regard the Federation as their greatest foe. In this book, you will find out even more about the empire and the people who inhabit it!
More about the history of the Romulans! Find out how Vulcans left their homeworld, found new worlds, and forged them together to create a mighty empire. Discover how Augustus Tal became the first Romulan emperor. And then explore the Romulan-Gorn wars.
More about the Romulans! Find out more about the Romulans themselves, including their biology, culture, military, government, emperors, religions, economics, legal systems, great houses, and the State Security Agency. Discover what options are open for education in the Romulan Empire with templates for the various military academies and training programs. Included is more information about how to become a valued member of a Great House. Join the police or become a magistrate. In this revision, more information has been included in the templates, including new skills.
More about the Romulan's suppressed races! Discover strange planets with the complete planetary survey, including geological information and information on the species inhabiting them. The ancient species of the Sath'hi are empathic pacifists and a protectorate of the Romulans. The Gerlunians and their nation-states are under secret observation by the Romulans. Saying the Dionaeans are "less than friendly" toward Romulans on their planet is an understatement. In all cases, the information has been updated to be in line with the information in the revised GURPS Prime Directive. In particular, the Dionaeans' advantages and disadvantages that are not in the core GURPS Prime Directive rulebook have been added.
More about the starships! Still based on the 3rd edition of GURPS, this provides more information about the Romulan starships. Find out about the home-grown Eagle and Hawk series of ships, as well as the KRs, acquired from the Klingons. Deckplans for the SkyHawk destroyer are included. And why are these series named after birds? Discover more about the birds that are honored by the Romulans.
More technology! The weapons commonly found in the Romulan Empire have descriptions and weapon charts.
More adventures! Find out more about Abraxas Station and some of its denizens. New skills that these inhabitants have are included.
You must have GURPS Prime Directive to use this sourcebook effectively. There are references to GURPS Basic Set that, while not strictly needed, will enhance your gaming experience.
