The B10T is just a B10 boom mated to the rear hull of a tug using the standard pod mounting of the latter though. Nothing special ;)

Just watch the face of your opponent when you place that bad boy on the map.
Of course, you really should warn him first.
Given the average age of Star Fleet Battles players today...

Creating a ship makes you a plankowner, Will. There are thousands of ships but maybe 200 or 300 plankowners.

The B10T+2BPs won't be that special.
The B-Boom's warp engines (undermounted) will block arcs of the Battle Pods.
The scary version is w/ 2xDrone Pods. The drone fly around the B-boom's warp engines.

That, plus speed 32 drones will give it a punch. I am away from my books, and I do not recall... what is the seeking weapons control limit for a B-10T with 2xDrone Pods?

Limits? The B-10 has no limits! It is Unlimited Glory to the Klingon Empire, the True Rulers of the Galaxy! Brahahahah.
Oh, sorry, I was channeling my inner-Petrick for a moment.

Is there a ship description for the WB10?
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Monday, April 19, 2021 - 11:55 pm: Edit |
WB10 description
In round numbers. The guys who designed the WD5 came up with the idea of doing the same thing to a B10. The design was approved but never built because of delays in the B10 program meaning there was no B10 to convert this way. But the design was kept active just in case the opportunity arose. The Klingon maskirova department thought that it was such an obviously plausible idea they could convince the Federation that it was real (along with the WC8 which Will suddenly realized he needs to do) so reports that it was in production were circulated. It remains a perfectly plausible but unbuilt variant.

Just got my order with all the new countersheets and they look *good*! Also really like this printer does the thicker, grey-core sheets. The Module R3 sheet, since it was part of a double-sided run, having fighters and shuttles with a slash over the graphic on the reverse to (as I’m going to use it) denote crippled status is an excellent “attention to detail” touch.

ADB Releases Ships for May 2021
On May 3, 2021, ADB released 46 new items to its shop on Shapeways, which has over 2,600 items available in total. This month, we released new ships for the Federation, Klingons, Hydrans, Kzintis, and Tholians. We also introduce ships from the Eneen Protectorate located in the Lesser Magellanic Cloud. Please note that all miniatures are available in both 3788 and 3125 scales, except when noted.
The Federation starts with the New Heavy Scout that is available in both the Federation (gridded saucer) and Fed Classic (smooth saucer) styles.
The Klingons have an enormous splash with the WB10V Super Heavy Carrier and its six engines. They also get their C8S Space Control Ship.
The ISC gains its Heavy Scout and Gunboat/PF Tender.
The Hydrans get a boost to their police fleets with their Police Carrier and Inspector Police Flagship. They also get three different sprues of ships that are combined as a price-saving option: two Gendarme Police Frigates, an Inspector Police Flagship and a Police Carrier, or a Heavy Gendarme Police Destroyer and a Police Carrier.
The Kzintis get their War Destroyer Leader and Medium Drone Cruiser, both found in the new A Call to Arms: Star Fleet -- Reinforcements One. One of the earliest ships built by the Kzintis is the Early Years Frigate, which is now available.
The Tholians gain many ships, all from Star Fleet Battles: Module R4T -- The Tholian Will. They have their Heavy Carrier, X-Ship Heavy Frigate, X-Ship Heavy Destroyer, X-Ship Medium Cruiser, and X-Ship Large Heavy Cruiser.
Described in Star Fleet Battles Module C5, the Lesser (or Small) Magellanic Cloud (LMC) is the second-nearest galactic neighbor to the Milky Way Galaxy. The lemur-like Eneen formed the Eneen Protectorate. Their navy gains its Heavy Cruiser, Light Cruiser, Upgraded Destroyer, Destroyer, and Corvette. The Corvette is also available on a sprue of two.

Something wonky is happening with our email. Somehow, somebody at or working for our IP blacklisted Will McC and Mike West. Jean figured out how to fix that (she identified some filter company called Barracuda which had blacklisted Will and Mike), but (curiously) at the time of the fix (after the problem which has happened for days) my "system configuration" on the Mac will not accept ANY outgoing email address, so I cannot send email from the Mac. I can send it from the PC but that really isn't a solution to anything.
I do not believe in coincidences. When two things happen at the same time, neither of which I caused, they both have the same cause. Jean is trying to check on it now but she doesn't think they two random one in a hundred thousand incidents that happened on the same day are related. Whatever it is, it's stopping me from sending F&E files to the staff.

ADB Releases Ships for June 2021
On June 7, 2021, ADB released 55 new items to its shop on Shapeways, which now has over 2,700 items available in total. This month, we released new ships for the Federation, Klingons, Gorns, Kzintis, ISC, and Orion Pirates. Many of the starships support the forthcoming release of A Call to Arms: Star Fleet - Reinforcements One. Please note that all miniatures are available in both 3788 and 3125 scales, except when noted.
The Federation starts with the Battle Frigate Scout, Bismarck BCF Battlecruiser, Destroyer, Destroyer Escort, and Destroyer Leader that are available in both the Federation (gridded saucer) and Fed Classic (smooth saucer) styles. Notably, we add the first Middle Years ship, which is the Middle Years Destroyer, also available in both the Federation (gridded saucer) and Fed Classic (smooth saucer) styles. While it is available in both 3788 and 3125 scales, the Police Corvette is only available in the Federation style since it doesn't have a saucer per se.
The Klingons gain their FWC War Destroyer Leader. Since it matches the Mongoose style of windows on the boom, the FWCB War Destroyer Leader is only available in the 3125 Scale. With more aztecking, the ship is also available as the FWL War Destroyer Leader in both 3788 and 3125 scales. The Klingons also gain the G2C Police Leader. The Klingons' Internal Security Forces (ISF) benefits from the ISF Police Collection containing a G6 heavy police ship, a G2C police leader, and two G2 police ships.
The Gorns gain more X-ships with the appearance of the Advanced Frigate and X-Light Cruiser in both the regular and refitted versions.
The Kzintis add their New Fast Cruiser and Police Flagship.
The Orions get more of their X-Ships with the X-Ship Battle Raider, X-Ship Raider Cruiser, and X-Ship War Destroyer.
The ISC gets its Fleet Sustainment Convoy Collection in 7000 Scale. It includes a tug, a light tactical transport, two small freighters, one large freighter, one heavy freighter, a pair of cargo pods, and one light tactical transport pod.
Finally, in Omni Scale, everyone can use the Small Auxiliary Scout.

Star Fleet Battles Module R4T - The Tholian Will Available from Multiple Sources
Even more Tholian ships for you to use!
Star Fleet Battles: Module R4T - The Tholian Will has a 48-page rulebook (available in both print and as an ebook) that includes dozens of new Tholian ships, some from their Home Galaxy M81 and some designed and built in this galaxy. There are three broad categories:
First, there are Home Galaxy variants of ships you know and fear from the Milky Way versions seen in previous products.
Second, there is a full range of mission variants from two new hulls built in this galaxy: the Tholian Police Destroyer (two police cutter hulls welded together side by side) and the Tholian Police War Destroyer (one and a half police cutter hulls welded together end to end). These include carriers, escorts, commando ships, scouts, leaders, transports, and so many more.
Third, there are the ships the Tholians always wanted but had to do without until now! Now available is their legendary battleship in multiple refits, including carriers and stellar domination types. Find their long-missing war destroyer variants. Also included are the fast raider variants of their cruisers and destroyer. And there are many more!
It also has the following scenarios: On the Holdfast Beat (Tholian and Klingon), Recovery (Tholian and Orion pirates), Wrong Enemy (Tholian and Andromedan), and Reclamation (Tholian and Romulan). Of course, it also has the section of the Master Ship Chart that pertains to the ships included.
The Star Fleet Battles Module R4T SSD Book is available in print and as an e-book. As an e-book, you have a choice of the original black-and-white SSDs or the color ones. This 83-page SSD book from Star Fleet Battles: Module R4T has SSDs for the new Tholian ships. Please note that the PDFs do not include images for the die-cut counters included in the complete print module.
The complete print module includes the rulebook, B&W SSD book, and 60 die-cut counters.
This product provides additional ships for use in Star Fleet Battles. You must have the SFB Basic Set to utilize this material. Some of the ships require the Advanced Missions set or the SFB Master Rulebook.

ADB Releases Ships for August 2021
On August 2, 2021, ADB released 18 new items to its shop on Shapeways, which has over 2,750 items available in total. This month, we released new ships for the Federation, Hydrans, Lyrans, and Carnivons. Please note that all miniatures are available in both 3788 and 3125 scales, except when noted.
The Federation starts with the Dreadnought Tug that is available in both the Federation (gridded saucer) and Fed Classic (smooth saucer) styles. This unofficial ship is introduced on a Federation Commander ship card in the July 2021 issue of Hailing Frequencies.
The Hydrans take command of squadrons with their Lord Admiral Heavy Command Cruiser and Lord Cardinal Heavy Command Cruiser. The Lord Commander Early Command Cruiser, which, despite its name, is not part of the Early Years era, is also available now.
The Lyrans and their wayward county of the Lyran Democratic Republic gain Prairie Lion Survey Carrier. Note that LDR ship is only in the 3125 Scale. The Lyrans also get the same ship in a "refitted" version with aztecking in the 3788 Scale.
Historically, the Carnivons were wiped out by the Kzintis and Lyrans before they got to the era of the "Modern Age." If they hadn't been, they would have continued to evolve their ships. These ships are described in Star Fleet Battles Module C6. Their Frigate and Destroyer are now available.

Federation & Empire: Planetary Operations 2021 Available
Repairs and Spending and Raids, Oh My!
Planetary Operations has more rules for Federation & Empire. It is newly improved and updated, having gone through extensive review and discussion during Stratcon 2021. All rules questions from the ADB, Inc.'s BBS have been addressed to provide the best experience for every empire. There are new rules for Combat (300.00), Repairs (420.00), Economics (430.00-450.00), and Special Rules (500.00). It also includes four scenarios (600.00).
Want to do interesting and dirty things to an enemy's planet (or prevent rebellions on one of yours)? Then the advanced raids rules are for you. Marine Major Generals will give you a chance to use those surplus commando ships (which could also be used to prevent rebellions). Then there are those pesky Tholian pinwheels.
Want a few free ships per turn from scraps of ships, keep key ships in the battle for another turn or two, and possibly convert ships while being repaired? Depot-level repair will (once you get the war moving) deliver a few free ships per turn from what you thought were just scraps and fragments. Rapid combat repair will keep key ships in the battle for another turn or two. Planetary repair docks are, basically, cheap fleet repair docks that can't move. Conversion during repair will improve the efficiency of your logistical network.
Colonial development allows you to "build a planet" and then build a base on it. Better control of your economy comes through the advanced deficit spending rules. (Warning: there is the possibility of bankrupting your empire!) You can transfer provinces as part of a deal (or you can annex provinces you stole from somebody else). Trade with the WYN Cluster is free money for everybody, and even the Kzintis can do it by the new blockade running rules. Any empire can improve its production system by building a minor shipyard (avoiding overbuilds). An empire that has seen its capital captured but had the foresight to build minor shipyards can get back into the game for less money by building a medium shipyard. Production overrides and allowable substitutions give you more control over your building schedule.
Special rules include alternate ways to use the Orions, espionage & sabotage, the long-demanded megafighter rule, forward defense units, early warning networks, resistance movements, more tug missions, and special counters.
Four new scenarios provide their own challenges and alternative starts for the General War grand campaign.
You will need the Federation & Empire 2010 Rulebook and various countersheets to use this expansion.
You can download the Planetary Operations Rulebook from these sources:
Warehouse 23: http://www.warehouse23.com/products/ADB3204-2
DriveThru RPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/366882/
Wargame Vault: https://www.wargamevault.com/product/366882/
It is available as a complete expansion (including the rulebook, two copies of Countersheet Three, the Depot Level Repair Chart, and a few copies of the Curtis Combat Calculation Chart) from either your local game store or direct from ADB: https://www.starfleetstore.com/expansions-c-22_88/fe-planetary-operations-p-344.html
Good gaming to you!
By Alex Chobot (Alendrel) on Monday, August 09, 2021 - 01:05 pm: Edit |
Hi Jean,
Couple of questions on PO-2021. The announcement above says the complete expansion comes with three copies of Countersheet Three, the linked product page description says it comes with one, and (113.1) in the revised rulebook says two. What is the proper number?
Second, is there any change in pricing for the printed rulebook on its own? https://www.starfleetstore.com/rulebooks-c-22_23/fe-planetary-operations-rulebook-p-369.html
These kind of will determine if I get just the rulebook or if I may as well get a new copy of the whole thing for extra counters
Thanks!
