MONDAY 9 SEPT -- DAY 42
Appointment with the surgeon who said all was going well, but that it could be a month before I could switch from a walker to a cane.

TUESDAY 10 SEPT -- DAY 43
Home health nurse came by and said I was doing fine.
Physical therapy evaluator said I was making great progress but would probably need 12 or 18 weeks of PhyTh not just six.

The cane represents a return to work. On a cane I can drive and not have to wrestle a walker out of the car at each stop.

Oh, I own two walkers, two wheelchairs, and two canes. I keep one at home and one at ADB.

WEDNESDAY 11 SEPT — DAY 44
I sat home and did my exercises. Leanna went to church, I had planned to go but the only available bathroom would have been too far away and too crowded for me to access by walker or wheelchair.

THURSDAY 12 SEPT -- DAY 45
A long day. I needed to go to church to complete a project that I had been involved in for some time. It only took an hour, but that church is HUGE and the walk from the closest parking (for which I got special permission) to the office was the longest I had ever made on a walker, and in the heat. Anyway, I got done, and Leanna took me to lunch. I did get a few minutes in the office to answer some emails.

The first step to find the dizzy spell cause was done in the hospital when they scanned my liver, kidney, pancreas, and gall bladder for cancer, and found nothing (other than that Zeta Reticulae implant and the polonium pellet the KGB stuck in my thigh). Turned out that the KGB screwed up and injected a palladium pellet which did no harm.

SUNDAY 15 SEPT -- DAY 48
I stayed home, did my exercises, and rested.
The psychological factor is the worst. This is taking too long and I have too many other things to be doing. Worst of it is that I am weak and sleepy and even if I could get to the office I wouldn't be able to get anything done.

MONDAY 16 SEPT — DAY 49
Seven Weeks of this stuff, tedious, tiresome, soul crunching.
Did my exercises and rested.

TUESDAY 17 SEPT — DAY 50
Leanna and I quietly celebrated our 47th wedding anniversary.
I did my exercises and rested. I still am nowhere near switching to a cane.
