Any players in the Los Angeles area interested in a game or two? The owner of the local game store (Game Empire in Pasadena) mentioned there were at least 3 active players he was aware of, so I figured it would be worth a shot to reach out here and see if anyone is up for a game.

I worked through the Starlist a couple of years ago when I moved to Harrisonburg, VA and didn't find anybody. Is anybody out there...?

Jeff, if you haven't tried SFBOL you might want to give that a shot. I like it cause I can play. But I don't have a subscription so I'm limited to the Fed or Klingon Tournament Cruiser for a game. Randy, there aren't any "issues" with SFBOL. Its perfectly valid place to play. A warm and welcoming environment for noobs to old pros.

As one of the noobs, I'll second Bendan's recommendation of SFBOL. I've found it to be a real friendly place of people eager to teach and learn.

Through it, I've even found more people to play ftf with.

Brendan - there's a whole thread dedicated to the issues of SFBOL that's happening right now.
I know I personally will not buy a sub to SFBOL until that is done. AND I'm willing to roll up my sleeves and help make that happen, as I've said over and over again.
My recommendation stands. Do with it what you will.

No drama here, Andrew.
When I read SVC saying things like SFBOL's about to get shut down and he's our only friend to keep it going, I take those types of things seriously. Yes, the issue is the SSDs, and those HAVE to be fixed.

Brendan - I've been on SFBOL a few times. Don't care much for the Java, but can live with it once everything is fixed. (Can't drink Kool-Aid on my diet. But thanks for the sentiment!)

It is amazing to see that all the single players of this great game is at least 2 hours or more from each other. I can't find anyone local but there are 2 players in WA state about 2 1/2 hours from me in different directions. I am in Surrey, BC, Canada, just north of WA border.
