Hi Geoff,
I'm a FedCom beginner in Toronto. If you've got the patience to deal with a newbie to SFB ( and to Fed Comm too for that matter) we can play online.
Cheers,
Sebastian

I'm back into playing SFB after a long hiatus. I already have an account with SFBOL, and I'm looking primarily to play scenarios if possible. I like to work with the full rules, but I'm also willing to teach someone who is new to the game.

Found my SFB case after a few years, have the 2012 rules updates and am looking for SFB opponents in the Central San Joaquin valley of CA.

Would you be interested in joining a campaign? I have some seats available in the Another Way to Glory campaign.
You don't have to have a subscription to SFB Online, but it's suggested (I have two admirals that don't have subscriptions, at the moment).

What positions are open?
By Matthew Potter (Neonpico) on Friday, May 03, 2013 - 04:01 pm: Edit |
I have an Orion position open, An empty position open, and likely to have a FRAX position open in a couple days.
The empty position is not devoid of life, should someone pick it: You will be given an empire roughly equivilent to the current average empire strength (Yes. I've been tracking several metrics since the start of the game). But the position is not set to a certain empire (yet). However, the list of allowed races for that position is short (to prevent doubling up on current empires): Andromedan, Tholian, and Seltorian

Looking for SFB/F&E/SFM players in the Fort Wayne Indiana area.
By Chris Kelley (Syrious84) on Thursday, May 30, 2013 - 06:16 pm: Edit |
Hi everyone. My name is Chris and I'm looking for somebody in the Colorado Springs area that would be willing to do a one on one battle to help jump start my memory of playing the game. I haven't played in years and would really like to get back into it. normally I would just read the rule book but I learn better by doing than reading, so if anyone in the area would be willing I would love to get a game going.

Hi Chris. We have Andy Vancil in Ft. Collins, and I'm up in Evans, northern Colo. Don't know if we have anyone in the Springs since Chuck Strong moved?
Let us know if we can help.

Chris,
There are a number of us in the general Denver metro as well. I'd be glad to meet you somewhere part way and play a game or two.

I would be eager to play such a thing.
In fact, desperate.

Hello all,
after a long hiatus, I'm back to the SFB game again and this time I want to stay in for a while :-)
I have finally played the first seven scenarios from Cadet Training Manual, but given that I don't have an human opponent it is starting to be boring (I don't like the robot opponent option).
Said that, I'd like to continue my training with a real guy.
I think I can try to play a simple scenario with Captain's Edition Basic rules (I am reading the rules) and I have a SFBOL account.
I can play by PBEM if necessary but I never do it for this game.
I'm Italian but I don't have any problem to play against everyone, time zone is less problematic during week-end.
Thanks in advance.
Ale

Hi Alessandro,
I'd be happy to help you with your training. Feel free to drop me an e-mail and we can schedule something if you like.

Wow, very quick reply!
Mail sent and thank you very much!
My objective is to learn everything about SFB and then about F&E, at this point I will able to enjoy the ultimate game experience! :-)

If you want a varied experience that will test you, you can volunteer to be a battle captain for the campaign "Another Way to Glory". As a battle-captain, you will be taking a squadron or fleet against another player. You might even be taking an encounter/force that another player doesn't have the time to play.

Hello Matthew,
I would be glad to play but I am at the beginning, I just read the basic rules and I don't think any of you play with them!
By Matthew Potter (Neonpico) on Thursday, July 11, 2013 - 01:18 pm: Edit |
Nonesense. We play with all of the basic rules. We just play with some of the advanced ones two... :D
By Glenn Hoepfner (Ikabar) on Friday, July 12, 2013 - 12:25 am: Edit |
And some of us (me) who think we know all the rules can still be tutored by those who have acutally really read the rules.
