Charlotte North Carolina: Anybody there able to run a demo? A store wants to start stocking FC materials but needs a demo to kick it off.
By Jeff Johnson (Jeffro) on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 - 10:36 am: Edit |
I'm late to this thread. But I'd be willing to demo in Charlotte. (I'm a couple of hours away from there, though.)
I've refereed non-ADB games at a convention and attend a local board game group where I occasionally get lassoed into teaching games occasionally.
The only catch is that I need to by FC first. ;)
Say... I could even tell my wife she got me Romulan Border for my Father's Day gift. How thoughtful of her! :D
If we could schedule the demo for late July, I could be up to speed by then....
By Jeff Johnson (Jeffro) on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 - 03:05 pm: Edit |
Edit: "by FC first" should of course be "*buy* FC first".
Also... the second "occasionally" is redundant.
Curse that 60 minute limit on post edits!!

Just applied to the 'Rangers' program. Have bought into the FedCom stuff heavily at one point, and certainly willing to again (I do like the game), but have primarily trained locals on Star Fleet Battles.
So far:
- One person bought 'Master Rulebook', about to pick up F1 and F2 (seriously, what? He plays Hydrans, even!)
- One person bought 'Master Rulebook', modules S1 and S2
- Another bought modules S1 and S2 (hey, they are cheap)
- Several in constant lending of "Captain's Logs" I have
Total group size is 7 familiar with SFB (can run a ship), and probably 3...maybe 4...are tournament-level. (Not saying they'd win - I don't take THAT much credit - but they'd do a fair showing, and I'm absolutely confident of that!)
I guess I can train fairly decently - time to take it public.

Wow, cool.
Thanks!
Might not be a bad idea to put that link at the top of the page as a sticky.
By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Saturday, July 27, 2013 - 06:19 pm: Edit |
I have no idea why I can do the same thing (copy and paste the ranger page link) twice and one time it's a link and one time it's just text.
Fixed

I moved Rangers out of SFB and up here since it applies to all games, not just one of them.
