My sister has gotten involved with a rescue program for feral cats.

One that's a recent rescue has been rejected by the rescuees at the home of one of her friends.

I've been asked to adopt.

Her birthday is coming up soon, so as a gift to her...

The last cat I had in my life was, to say the least, a very determined cat. How determined. Let me just say that he escaped from the closed Vet's office. I got him back by going by the Vets after hours for a few nights and calling him, but he would not trust me when I tried to pick him up. I finally had to trick him into food inside a cag that I closed on him and drove him home. I let him out of the cage when I got home and he took off to hide, but as I figured he realized he was in his home turf and came when I called and would accept food. The story goes on from there and left a lot of the story out, but he was a very very determined cat.

Our Cat Clyde died this weekend. We sadly were at the Southampton Renn Fair this weekend. We came home to find Him dead on the floor. The wife is very upset.

He was 16 plus years old. Was having thyroid issues. He was mostly blind but moved around just fine. His sister Bonnie is still with us.

This event put a big damper on a very fun weekend.

Yesterday we said goodbye to Brownie, our unknown breed sweetheart pup. I've had her for her whole 16 year life. She grew up with my children, outlived two marriages, and was my best friend through some really hard times. She'll be missed by the whole family.

My 11 year old border collie Parker crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. It was completely unexpected. We rescued him, his mom, and 6 litter mates when he was 2 weeks old. We kept him and found homes for the rest.

I am truly sorry for your loss. I lost a border collie (Happy) 45 years ago. Border collies are the smartest breed of dogs and closer to be human than any other canine.

We had to put down Uncle Louie, our cat, this morning. Pancreatitis had compromised his intestinal track, causing perforations and sepsis; there's absolutely nothing anyone could have done.

He was the absolute best cat ever; his fur was soft, he loved everyone, and his belly was never a trap.
