An thoughts on Command Crusiers? I was thinking that they could have a C square, simular to the Escort. If you had a CC in your fleet it could alow you to use 2 ships when atcking, or maybe extra actions in the movment phase. I like using 2 ship better though, as it makes it mopre important to kill the CC. The CC would only be usable if it is turned over. So it would do no good it it was in your reserve ranks.

Perhaps this is covered in another area, but is there still a hope for an expansion to this fantastic game anytime soon? My wife and I just played this together for the first time last night and she really liked it, I am a big fan of Cold War Naval Battles which this game does a fantastic job of improving upon, so I loved it lol. Also, were you supposed to get a plasma s card in federation commander klingon border, cause I did. Hope this great game continues.

Yes, there is hope, and in fact I intend it to happen, but I have to get budget approval, and so far other things have taken the available budget. This is a VERY expensive product.

Still hanging in there. Maybe a CC can allow a few small things and pick one. One of the things could be to allow another movement? Or put a third card in the reserve row? It could only pick one thing to do per turn and I feel it would make it a sufficient target! I don't know that they would be any more powerful weapons wise or damage soaking wise because they are just not that much more beefy for the scope of this game anyhow. Making two ships fire at once sounds too powerful but maybe not " I mean each player would potentially have a CC "

A better thing for the CC would be to allow you to use the cards in your reserve as if they were in your hand. That way you get the added benefit but only if you have cards in the reserve and of course the CC mustn't be in the reserve squadron to do so. I played a game with my wife where my reserve action cards were basically a bunch of phaser three's and I never drew them into my hand. This would give you a chance to use them and make it so you aren't overpowered every single turn.

Why can a CC do what a DN and BCH cannot do?

Remember that a CC is by definition a CA with the command facilities of a BCH/DN.

So adding command cruisers with some kind of rule for them means allowing BCHs and DNs to use that same rule. Are you sure you want to go there?

Got the quotes today for running small quantities of real cards. I'm going to hold off getting excited until I see the quantity of the cards.

Current theory is to produce a short run (say, 25 decks) of cards for one expansion, sell them by mail order, and see what happens. If that works, and the cards are of good enough quality for retail, we may go that route.

But I have a ton of crap to do, and this is not on my top 25 list.
