New ship: This is less bulky than the metal one (and it should be; Shapeways allows us to do volume analysis and match box counts to volume).

I like the look of the Peladine CA. (playing them in a campaign at present)

What are those "eyes" at the front?

I never really liked this ship before now. This version works for me.

Charles: those are the tractor beam emitters.

And as a note? I could not be happier with this digital sculpt. It captures precisely what the ship was supposed to be (and what I could only approximate back in the brass and epoxy days).

Two thumbs up!

Congrats

Is it really that much smaller than the Fed CA?

It looked that way to me too at first but I think the wings hide some of the mass.

Nick Samaras:

Attempts to e-mail you keep bouncing.

Please advise.

SPP, email sent.

Hmmm, is the wing strut supposed to be two or three deck thick? The 'weapons' being centered say three but the thickness/height looks more like two (compared to the shuttle bay) …

Considering that the wings hold (among other things) the impulse engines, and that impulse engines tend to be large, bulky, multi-deck affairs, I'd go with three decks.

I like it.

And it reminds me that I should get back to work on the Borak.
