If we want to do "Empire specific" monitors, things could get a little crazy trying to keep the firing arcs the same while constructing something that matches the empire-specific hulls. This is an example of how Crazy the Tholian Empire Specific Monitor got, but the firing arcs are pretty close.

"Federation" only from the fact it has four phasers and six torpedo tubes. Most of the classic monitors are going to look a lot alike if we didn't come up with a bold greeble for their heavy weapons (SFG, Hellbore, etc.).

Do the sales indicate that all ship types are good to do for each empire?
I will get an, 1/3788 scale Generic/Federation Monitor for the scenario (SG23.0).

I would be surprised if Empire-specific is worth it for something like this. Personally, I'm in it for one generic (which may be the "Federation" version I suppose).

I actually like the Tholian (and by extension, other empire-specific)Monitor.

But I'm also the weird guy with 7 Starline 2400 monitors... cause I couldn't stand using a Fed painted monitor for Klingon forces.

So if I'm going with multiple Shapeways monitors so as to have a separate version painted for each empire - I'd just as soon have empire specific ones.

I too am interested in seeing some more examples of empire specific monitors.

At the very least, it would make sense for the Tholians to have an empire-specific monitor since they made all of their warships out of PC hulls. It would be odd for their monitor to not be made of PC hulls unless they acquired the hulls from foreign sources.
