The C7 and C8/9 do not have external sensor dishes.

Neither did the D7. I was suggesting to save the external sensor dish for the CX hulls if we want to trace a design linage.

I am unfamiliar with a CX hull design lineage.
Tonight, I made the sensor a little less tall and moved it up a little bit higher on the boom of the DX. However, the interaction of shapes limits what can be done and I built it with a certain look in mind, so there will be no wholesale change (like an internal dish) unless SVC directs it.

I had to go look, its the conjectural C5X Raiding Dreadnought.

Will, what I was trying to say is when you noted, "Having it forward like it is was a nod to the fully externally-mounted dish on the B-10" is an interesting thought, but I'd rather see it done on the C & B hulls and not a D hull as none of the earlier D hulls had an external sensor.
If the pod were restored, instead of if having the undercut, the sensor could be a surface detail of the pod and neither recessed or extended.
Just my opinion but I think that would look better and stay with the D hull look.

I have left it up to Will how to handle the input from this topic. He can send the ship to Jean when he is satisfied.

I have another evening's work left to complete the "K" Aztec paneling. Ideally, I upload it tonight.

Did anyone answer MarkH 3/24 question about phasers clearing the understrakes? They are definitely lower than the phaser bumps but may be over far enough that the space also blocked traditionally by the engine drops have it covered within the traditional arc.

Will told me he had it taken care of.
