The Lyrans may sue for IP infringement.

Do you think the Lyrans would ever claim they had a central pod like that....

Knee-jerk reaction? Are the Iridani using Sloops the way the Jumokians (Magellanic Cloud) using their Frigate hulls?
Next: Might there be Jumokian refugees of their conflict with the Eneen who've made it to Iridani territory?
IF they were successful in certain "Diplomacy," might there now be Iridani who see the re-establishment of the Jumokian as the basis for their Quests.
And third, have I gotten so stir-crrazy over this whole COVID thing that I now truly warrant a straightjacket...

Perhaps a more likely historical comparison might have been with the Probr, who have a long track record of using various hull and wing combinations to produce new ship types.
The only hitherto-published ship which may use the Iridani PF Tender module from SFB Module Omega 5 is the Brigantine dreadnought - and even it may only use it in its aft module slot (as this provides a clear approach for the oversized Iridani PFs to take off and land). In this case, I'd wonder if the unorthodox setup shown above might enable the Iridani to install a PFM here also if they so wished, or if the engineering limitations are such that it wouldn't work for this hull type.

Probably built out of desperation during the Andromedan invasion of the cluster, local defence units maybe.

Interesting look, I like it.

Over time we can easily build a bunch of catamaran and trimaran Iridani combat ships.

I will have to get some Iridani Quest ships.

If it helps, the latest issue of the Hailing Frequencies newsletter includes a history file for the Iridani Catamaran. (I expanded upon Nick Samaras' idea by proposing to push the creation of this ship back a bit further, to the short-lived Iridani New Kingdom, while still having it become a "contingency" hull in the home Cluster in the wake of the Grand Quest.)
