While 2500 being introduced for ACTA:SF was cool, I do kinda like the 7000 better because a game designed for "more ships" makes sense for ships to be smaller. So I think it would be nice if there were more multi-ship options in 7000 that were good for building fleets for ACTA:SF.

Jean says no. It confuses the existing sprues, wouldn't sell enough copies to be worth her time to load it or the sculptor's time to do it, would stop a sculptor from doing something many people wanted, and starts down the road where every player orders his own unique sprue and we sell one copy of each. Sorry, but it's just not practical. I might suggest you buy a sprue with the one ship you want and then sell the rest of the sprue on the BBS to someone who can always use a bigger fleet.

A few things came up in conversation with Jean.

I am going to ask sculptors to do a 7000 Tug+LTT sprue. They may not want to as it wouldn't sell much.

Jean is going to ask each sculptor to do a 7000 sprue of tournament cruisers for the empires they cover.

The idea of an empire sprue that starts with a CA may be reviewed in a year. Or maybe not.

Something that comes up in many contexts a few times a year is the idea of a player who really wants a product nobody else wants to get it if he pays a premium for it. This never goes anywhere, however, because the premium has to cover not just the time to create a product only one customer wants, but all of the sales we lost for the product we didn't do when we were doing that one. It isn't entirely impossible that sometime in a year or two a sculptor says "I am all out of ideas" and we might look into some of the ideas we didn't use earlier, or we might allow players to negotiate with sculptors to create their unique sprues. But don't hold your breath.

See previous answer. Unless you get a bunch of people to say they want that kind of sprue we cannot afford to make such a sprue for each empire that result in selling one copy of one sprue for your favorite empire and no copies of the others.

If you are the only one in that boat we did okay in serving the market. If I see a dozen or two others say they want that sort of sprue then we’ll deal review it. But so far we are being asked to create unique sprues only one customer wants, and we would lose money doing it. We all know how the game works and there just aren’t any tactical game scenarios where one player has four identical heavy cruisers.

Okay, I can think of ONE such scenario that was a unique historical situation.

Like I said in another topic, sometimes you have to let me rant about why we ain't gonna do it and then presto it happens anyway.

Will heard your plea ane did a 3xFedCA and a 3xKlingon D7 sprue in 7000. IF THEY SELL maybe other sculptors would do them for their empires.

But it has to be worth their time and Jean's upload/merchandising time.

I went ahead and purchased one each of the 3x fed CA and klingon C7 sprues when I saw that they had been made available. In general I am less interested in building up a huge collection of "my favorite fleet" than I am in kinda making a small group of ships available for every faction. So a decent core set, or a way to get a small group of cruisers is what I like to see.
