I think the HCWs should be stardardized at 8-7/4, that way they're on par with CWLs and short of NCA (or CA) firepower...

By Scott Tenhoff (Scottt) on Wednesday, July 07, 2010 - 08:44 pm: Edit

I think all of the E7 ships should be baseline "7" ships (as they aren't more powerful, or significantly weaker) than the D5.

[data already on SIT]

By Steve Cole (Stevecole) on Thursday, July 08, 2010 - 10:21 am: Edit

If you look at what I posted, Turtle, the chart already says that those ships are "already in F&E". Your post of 8 July 10:08 is meaningless as it says basically "do what you already did".

Stew, sorry about my typo, where I listed them as 8/7 or 7/8 should be read as 8-7 or 7-8.

R2.151 F-FBT. The Fed FBT *CAN* carry a pod, this was a question I asked SPP during development. It does have the increased MC to tow pods table. S.Tenhoff 7-8-10

At least for purposes of this chart, I plan to rate the HCWs and not subsume them. Don't waste any more time suggesting that we do so.

Romulan K4F 1-4{6}(escort)/0-2 // from K4F: 1+6 E4: 1+6(2-step conversion) // see (431.6): 3.5+6 // 0.625

Kzinti DDS 3-6(scout)/1-3 // from DD: 2 // for DD: 8 // 1.5 // scout variant of destroyer EW=2
-Jason E. Schaff 7/9/10

Kzinti BFF 5-6/3 // from FF: 1 // for FF: 3.5 // 0.875
-Jason E. Schaff 7/9/10
(NB - The BFF has a weapons suite about equal to an FFK, but is beefier.)

Romulan SKR 4-5[8] (escort symbol)/2-3 from SK?: 1+8 for SK?: 4.5+8 0.875 Carrier Resupply Ship Light Escort Thomas Mathews 9 July 2010 A SkB has 8 fighters for 4 fighter factors in F&E. The size of the module suggests this module would carry 16 fighters, broken down for transport, or 8 fighter factors in F&E.

Fed FBD 6 <4> /3 Thomas Mathews 9 July 2010 Corrected Drone Bombardment Factors from previous post of FBD.

Regarding the Romulan SKR:

The Klingon F5R, Fed FCR, and Kzinti FCR each have 7 cargo boxes and get 6 FCR factors. The SKR has 8 cargo boxes: I don't think that justifies a 33% increase in FCR factors. (Oddly, the Gorn FCR has only 5 cargo boxes, but still gets 6 FCR factors, suggesting that the whole thing is a kludge anyway!)

Cheers,
Jason

Looks at self. Do I LOOK like a FCR?

Don't answer that, man that diet better eventually work:(

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Saturday, July 10, 2010 - 07:25 am: Edit

Jason, The SkyHawks have a plug and play module for easy mission changes. The SKB and FV are odd in that they have non standard size fighter groups of 8 fighters (4 FE fighter factors) as compared to all the other escort carriers who have 6 fighters (3 FE fighter factors). The difference between the F5 and the SK? is the modules that the SK?s use. While the SSDs show the cargo boxes grouped together on all ships that have them, they may not always be grouped together on the real ship. The exception is the modules used on the SP?, SK? and HDWs, because they can be and are built for more efficient use.

Alto the Romulan designers would plan for a ship capable of replacing all fo the fighters on a SPB with one ship instead of two or more.

Gorn SPS 14PP/7P // from DN: 7 SCS: 2 CVA: 7 // for DN: 25 // 4.5
-Jason E. Schaff 7/10/10
(Notes - same weapons suite as SCS - conversion cost from SCS based on BCV to BCS conversion - other costs extrapolated by addition)

Lyran SPS 12PP/6P // from DN: 7 SCS: 2 CVA: 7 DNP: 2 CA: 12 (2-step) DCS: 7 (2-step) // for DN: 23 // 4.0
-Jason E. Schaff 7/10/10
(Notes - same weapons suite as SCS - conversion cost from SCS based on BCV to BCS conversion - assumed additive build cost - other conversion costs are either by addition or best guesses at screwy Lyran upgrade paths)

By Jason E. Schaff (Jschaff297061) on Saturday, July 10, 2010 - 09:37 pm: Edit

Lyran DDV - change YIS date to Y166: The listed date (120) matches R12 MSC, but is _long_ before Lyran fighter deployment. Suggested date matches the first entry in the DDV carrier data table from R12.

Lyran HFF 4-5/2 // from FF: 2 // for FF: 3 // 0.75
-Jason E. Schaff 7/10/10

Lyran HDD 5-6/3 // from DD: 2 // for DD: 5.5 // 1.375
-Jason E. Schaff 7/10/10

(Notes on both above - offensive weapons suites unchanged, but greater bulk and an extra ESG for each - conversion and build costs are best guesses)

Lyran DDV 3-5(6)/2-3(3) // from DD: 2+12 // for DD: 7+12 // 1.25
-Jason E. Schaff 7/10/10
(Notes - offensive weapons suite similar to DDG - conversion and build costs per similar hulls in other fleets)
