Hi Thomas,

A most excellent scenario. A small question

Is it ok for the Klingons to attack the Romulans after turn 9?

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Wednesday, March 03, 2010 - 04:04 pm: Edit

Once the Romulans invade Federation proper, then the Klingons are free to invade Romulan space.

I've made a couple of minor changes based on the new 2010 rules. For example (6TW.132) has been deleted. It is replaced by (600.35).

Hi Thomas,

Replayed to email. Sorry it took so long.

Is there one consolidated source for the latest version of this scenario (hopefully updated to pure 2010 rules)?

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Friday, January 14, 2011 - 04:37 pm: Edit

ADB has the consolidated scenario on file. Hopefully it will see the light of day sometime.

The scenario in it's current form here was written with the 2010 rules in mind.

So, the Klingons have no survey area? What happens to their survey ships?

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Monday, March 07, 2011 - 11:49 pm: Edit

Chris

(6TW.223) Off Map Area: The Klingons will lease off map territory from the Federation instead of the Lyrans as per (506.3).

Can I get the latest version of this as I am playing this scenario with someone?

You have to use the copy posted:

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Monday, November 23, 2009 - 09:03 am: Edit

with the change that the Hydrans minus the Old Colonies are not available until one turn later than originally listed.

By John de Michele (Jdemichele) on Thursday, March 10, 2011 - 11:10 am: Edit

Thomas:

The Hydrans are available on turn 6, right?

John.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Thursday, March 10, 2011 - 11:31 am: Edit

Yes, with the Old Colonies released later.

Thomas:

Thanks!

John.

6TW.225 I think there is a mistake. There is no S168 construction listed in the OOB so I assume use S169 for the additional turn of construction.

By Chris LaRusso (Soulcatcher) on Thursday, March 10, 2011 - 10:12 pm: Edit

(704.A5) from OOB do the Klingons pay 2 EP for the KR ships in the mothball fleet rather than 1?

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Thursday, March 10, 2011 - 11:53 pm: Edit

Chris,

(6TW.225) uses the Spring Y169 schedule but is actually built in the Spring of Y168.

(704.A5) The Klingons pay 1 EP for each ship activated from this group. This is an exception specific to this scenario only. It helps with balance.

By John de Michele (Jdemichele) on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 - 11:05 am: Edit

Thomas,

Just to clarify, the 6TW.52 requirement for the Klingons to have a diplomat in the LDR is by turn 2 (to match the Hydran GW requirement), correct?

John.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 - 11:15 am: Edit

that is correct. they must have a diplomat in the ldr by turn 2. note they also get 1 EP of diplomatic income for this.

By John de Michele (Jdemichele) on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 - 02:00 pm: Edit

Thomas, do the Feds do a first turn build (similar to the Klingons in the GW scenario), or is that the PWC in the 8th fleet?

John.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 - 02:11 pm: Edit

The Feds buid a turn 1 schedule similar to the Klingons in the GW scenario.

By John de Michele (Jdemichele) on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 - 02:13 pm: Edit

Thomas:

Thanks!

John.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 - 03:33 pm: Edit

Remember they only get 75% full economy on turn 1 in which to conduct those builds.

By John de Michele (Jdemichele) on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 - 04:52 pm: Edit

Yep. Thanks!

John.

By Chris LaRusso (Soulcatcher) on Saturday, June 18, 2011 - 09:33 pm: Edit

And if the Klingon Diplomat in the LDR got assassinated what then?

Yep this happened.

By Thomas Mathews (Turtle) on Sunday, June 19, 2011 - 06:13 am: Edit

same as what happens if the hydran diplomat was or is assassinated there.
