ADD: 2 CWS as only 1 appears on sheet Bravo (the only sheet to have them)
ADD: 2 DWS as only 1 appears on sheet Bravo (the only sheet to have them)
FEDS: CONCURS if space is available; count them as first alternates should we not find another need.
THIS HAS BEEN DONE.

Would it be possible to have the LIMA sheet printed as a HALF SHEET (140 counters) with just the AUX CARRIERS and other LIMITED and 'one-off' units (ie 23rd/77th/stasis units) from CO? (maybe include the Jumbo/Heavy Aux carriers and troop ships it fill it out)
THIS WOULD MEAN CREATING AN ENTIRELY NEW SHEET WHICH ISN'T IN THE PRODUCTION SCHEDULE. SORRY, CANNOT DO IT. ANOTHER TIME IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A REALLY CONVENIENT WAY TO FILL A SHEET WE COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING TO PRINT, BUT NOT NOW.

Steve:
Can we remove ALL the warship carriers and Space Control Ships from sheet KILO as they are the 1993 legacy counters from the various carrier GROUP counters? All these carriers (except the Romulan SEB) are found in BASIC SET OR FIGHTER OPERATIONS counter sheets. The reason they were included is that CO introduced new escorts not found in basic set, thus requiring a new carrier GROUP counter with those new escorts.
Suggest eliminating carriers/SCSs at: A12, B1, B7, B8, B9, D9, E7, F7, H1, H8, H9, J1, L13, N3, N13, N14, N15, N16
=============
May I also suggest reducing ALL multi-ship counters (3XX) by HALF since we are going to have two sheet of KILO?
Suggest: C1, D1, J2
=============
We also have some legacy 1993 BASIC SET warship counters that can be removed:
T-DD at C19
R-SNB at D12
H-DWE at E19
H-AH at F19
These are all found on the BASIC SET sheets A/B.
========
If we do all of the above, can we consolidate the Klingons onto two BLACK blocks and ADD another RED block in its place? There are several CO related ships we could add that got left out of the 1993 sheet (a few such examples include the Romulan K5G, BHG, and the Tholian FTL).

The follow units suggested above were published elsewhere:

FEDS advises that the other variants (A:A20, V:F18, Y:F101, Z:F111) can be presented on the FO VULKAN Sheet where they are better suited for that fighter oriented sheet and spaces are available there.
===================
GHG: As search of (R4.135) shows no variants of the commando variant of the GryphonHawk. The only variants in the MSSB include the GryphonHawk-J heavy assault cruiser (R4.A40) and GryphonHawk-C heavy scout cruiser (R4.A41) and a mention in (R4.A41) of a survey version of the GHC (which be designated as a GHQ). This doesn't preclude ADB from creating such GHG since this is a modular ship that could, in theory, carry G-modules. However, as of now, one does not exists in the MSSB. FEDS would not object to its inclusion on CO's Sheet KILO.

By Jason E. Schaff
Suggest removing all SCSs from the revised countersheet in order to provide more space.
RATIONALE: The original sheets K and L included the SCS counters (as I understand it) because no counters were provided in the original basic game. The SCSs are now on sheets alpha or bravo and thus are not needed on the revised K and L:
(Note; It looks like the Fed SCS and Hydran LP have already been removed.)
This removes the following counters:
Klingon C8S - counter H-1
Gorn SCS - counter N-3
Romulan PHX - counter A-19
Lyran SCS - counter J-14
Kzinti SCS - counter L-13

FTJ: Factors 3-6GGGG/2-3GG - All empires [ Hydran: Factors 2-6(1)GGGG/1-3(0.5)GG ]

Jumbo Aux Ground Troop (Combat):

I wasn't sure to post this here, or over in the Countersheet Sierra thread, so apologies in advance:
In this thread, there is a request to add a counter for the SparrowHawk-T (R4.124) from SFB Module R9. While over in the Sierra thread, there is a request to add a counter for the FireHawk-T (R4.125) from that same module. Both campaign conjectural units are capable of operating pods, as a "true" LTT or Tug respectively.
While I certainly support the inclusion of each counter on its respective sheet, I wanted to clarify: would there also need to be a new set of Romulan pod counters, either here or on another countersheet (or perhaps split across countersheets, depending on the mission each pod would be used for), so as to represent the Klingon-type pods listed in Module R9 under (R4.126) for use by these units? Or are there sufficient "generic" pod counters, or perhaps counters for equivalent Klingon-type pods used by other empires, currently in print that can be used as stand-ins for the time being?
FEDS: Unless directed by ADB, we don't have sufficient space on any of the current sheets in the works to add a whole series of conjectural Romulan pods especially the number oof duplicates needed for a major empire. May I suggest the continued use of the generic pods until ADB makes a production decision.

SPACE RESERVED BUT NO PROMISES IT WILL HOLD.
Would it be too late to consider adding a "GryphonHawk-H" cargo transport counter?
While several other Alpha empires have LTTs on the above countersheet, the Romulans were given their closest historical equivalent, the SparrowHawk-H, in Basic Set. However, since the GryphonHawk can be assigned this transport configuration also, and would still be closer to an LTT than a full-sized tug in terms of size and mission capability, perhaps it might be appropriate to offer it here - should there be a "spare" red counter for it to go on, that is.
Further, given the addition of the Federation DLMP to the latest countersheet revision, might one other spare red counter be used to cover the "GryphonHawk-E" fast patrol ship tender configuration?
If either or both of the above are possible, I would suggest (based on the precedents offered by other GryphonHawk configurations offered to date) that the GryphonHawk-H factors be set at 6-7T/3-4; and/or that the GryphonHawk-E factors be set at 6-7P*/3-4P.
SVC SAYS WE CAN DO THIS IF COUNTERS ARE AVAILABLE. NOT SURE ABOUT THAT YET.

Fed DW: NO CHANGES; keep all four. (Net +4)
Fed DWA: NO CHANGES; keep all five (remove 'D?' from D-1 and D-10). (Net +5)
Fed DWS: 1993 sheet had two; ADD TWO at C-9 and B-9 (deleting the obsolete carrier groups there). (Net +6)
All LAV/SAV counters marked with 'D!' marking (3) can be deleted.
The SCS at F-10 (1) can be deleted as there are THREE in basic set (A).
The obsolete carrier group counters at A-7/8, B-1/7/8/9, C-9, E-8, F-8 (9) can be deleted. These counters were simply added in 1993 because DWAs (not found in Basic Set) replaced FFEs in their respective groups.
Doing the above will open 13 blue counters. (Recommend reserving six spaces for the six Heavy/Jumbo Auxes).

SIX open black spaces at: H-10 I-5; J-1, J-2, J-9, J-10 (Recommend reserving these space for the six Heavy/Jumbo Auxes).
The BLACK block on rows K and J can revert to RED.
Rationale:
There are 9xD5V in basic set (A&B) plus 6xD5V in FO (Vulkan/I&J): Total: 15
There are 3xC8V in basic set (A&B) plus 2xC8V in FO (I&J): Total: 5

T-Pack (Troop)
B-Pack (Battle)
R-Pack (Repair)
HFR-Pack (HF Replacement)
P-Pack (Power) Helps attached ship to function like a web tender under (539.41)
F&E Data to follow later. The Tholian MSSB packs are under R7.25. These are NOT conjectural. These packs (except the T-Pack) didn't exist when the original 1993 sheets were produced.

CO product will have TWO KILO SHEETS instead of one, RECOMMEND the following ship count CHANGES:
Romulan K4C: REPLACE one Tholian CW at D-14 with K4C. 1993 sheet had three CWs but with the extra sheet, the change will still result in an increase (CW: Net +1).

Klingon E4C: REPLACE one F5W at J-7 with E4C. 1993 sheet had five F5Ws but with the extra sheet, the change will still result in an increase (F5W: Net +3).
E4C Factors: 5-4/2; Ref 139; Product CO; CR 4; Y129; Size E4(4); From E4: 1; For: E4: 3.5; Salv 0.875; Notes: Leader variant of E4 escort §. Limit one per turn by any means.

KILO HEAVY/JUMBO CARRIER AUX REPORT (HAV/JAV/JAVC)
ALL EMPIRES (Fed/Romulan/Tholian/Kzinti/Gorn/Lyran/Klingon)
(EXCEPT HYDRAN)
HAV: Front combat factors match Sheet-80 of 6-8(12); crippled factors match Sheet 80 except: Klingon @ J-8; change fighters to read 6 not 12.
HAV Final Factors should read 6-8(12)/3-4(6) per Sheet-80.
JAV: Front combat factors match Sheet-80 of 4-6(12); crippled factors match Sheet 80 except: Klingon @ J-9; change fighters to read 6 not 12.
JAV Final Factors should read 4-6(12)/2-3(6) per Sheet-80.
JAVC: Not on Sheet-80 but combat factors correlate with those of Sheet-80 and no FTJC on the SITs so an interpolation is required. Thus, the JAV, with a rating of 4-6(12) (see above), it loses one carrier pod [0-2(6)] and adds a combat support pod [2-2] that results in a JAVC of 6(6)/3(3). The 6-6 factors should be changed to simply read 6; crippled factors should read 3(3) not 3-3(3); correct the crippled Klingon fighters on the JAVC @ J-10 to read 3 not 6.
Locations: B-10/J-10/L-10/N-10/F-14/F-17/N-20
JAVC Final Factors should read 6(6)/3(3).
==============================
HYDRAN (HAV/JAV/JAVC)
J-18: HAV: Correct all factors to match SHEET-80 to 4-8(14); crippled factors should read 2-4(7) to match Sheet-80.
Final Factors should read for the Hydran HAV: 4-8(14)/2-4(7) per Sheet-80.
J-19: JAV: Correct AF to match SHEET-80 to 3 not 4; crippled AF should read 1 not 2 to match Sheet-80.
Final Factors should read for the Hydran JAV: 3-8(13)/1-3(6^) per Sheet-80.
J-20: JAVC: NOT on Sheet-80 but combat factors DO NOT correlate with those of Sheet-80 JAV. The 6-6(8) factors should be changed to simply read 4-6(8); crippled factors should read 2-3(4).
Rationale: A 0-2(6) carrier pod is removed from JAV and a second 1-2(1) combat support pod is added to make a JAVC.
Final Factors should read for the Hydran JAVC: 4-6(8)/2-3(4) .

KILO HEAVY/JUMBO TROOP AUX REPORT (FTH/FTJ/FTJC)
ALL EMPIRES (Fed/Romulan/Tholian/Kzinti/Gorn/Lyran/Klingon)
(EXCEPT HYDRAN)
FTH: There are no FTH/FTJ/FTJC counters for any of the above empires on Sheet-80, so this report will use the SITs data as directed.
All FTH (except Hydran): Correct AF to read 5 not 3 to match SITs; correct crippled AF to read 3 not 1 to match SITs.
Locations: A-8/I-8/K-8/M-8/E-15/E-12(Black lettering)/M-18
FTH Final Factors should read 5-8GGGG/3-4GG per SITs.
(An argument could be made to round-down the crippled AF to 2 (from 3) to match the pattern of the other troop ships below).
All FTJ (except Hydran): Correct AF to read 3 not 2 to match SITs; correct crippled factors match SITs.
Locations: A-9/I-9/K-9/M-9/E-16/E-13(Black lettering)/M-19
FTJ Final Factors should read 3-6GGGG/1-3GG per SITs.
J-20: FTJC: Combat factors DO NOT correlate with those of the FTJ. The factors should reflect the removal of a troop pod (0-2GG) and the addition of a second combat support pod (2-2). Thus, the FTJ, with a SIT rating of 3-6GG, loses one troop pod (0-2GG) and adds a combat support pod (2-2) that results in a FTJC of 5-6GG/2-3G. Recommend correcting the SITs to reflect these most accurate factors.
========================================
HYDRANS
There are no FTH/FTJ/FTJC counters for Hydrans on Sheet-80, so this report will use the SITs data as directed.
Hydran FTH @ I-18: AF/DF factors match the SITs but the SITs fails to report two fighter factors on the front; recommend correcting counter factors and SITs to report 2 uncrippled fighter factors (and one crippled factor).
Hydran FTH Final Factors should read 3-8(2)GGGG/1-4(1)GG
Hydran FTJ @ I-19: AF/DF factors match the SITs but the SITs fails to report the one fighter factor on the front; recommend correcting SITs to report 1 uncrippled fighter factors (and a half crippled factor). ADD a half fighter factor (^) to the crippled side.
Hydran FTJ Final Factors should read 2-6(1)GGGG/1-3(^)GG
Hydran FTJC @ I-20: These is no FTJC on the Hydran SITs so an interpolation is required. Thus, the FTJ, with a rating of 2-6(1)GGGG (see above), it loses one troop pod (0-2GG) and adds a Hydran combat support pod [(1-2(1)] that results in a Hydran FTJC of 3-6(2)GG/1-6(1)G

TRIED TO REDUCE WORK, TAKEN CARE OF, PACK NOT Pk PREFERRED
KILO: Tholian Packs: E-18/19/20 & F-19: The reverse side of pods/pallet/pack counters should simply have large, bold font letters "REPAIR PACK" like those on the back side of sheet P&Q 2021; the practice didn't include the 'crippled bar'. (F-20 is in error and is reported below.) FEDS further recommends the that the designation should read T-Pk; B-Pk; R-Pk, P-Pk, and HFR-Pk. Rationale: It makes the identification of these counters easier and differentiates them from ship counters.
KILO: Tholian PCR @ F-20: The reverse side of this ship should read 'PCR' with a crippled compot of 2 and not 'REPAIR PACK".
KILO: Tholian HFR @ F-18: Designation should be HFR-Pk as the is a Tholian pack.

NEW KILO
By Lawrence Bergen (Lar) on Saturday, June 15, 2024 - 10:50 pm: Edit |
I have been mulling over a little conundrum on this sheet as it is now full and in business you always want to bring solutions to your leaders (or at least some options).
Here is the issue:
We are introducing a Romulan Kestral version of a ship (Rom K4C) but not the original Klingon E4C. I was positive we had discussed it as an add but it’s not here or on SIERRA or VULKAN.
In terms of ship availability to the game the rule of leader substitution is for every 5th hull (variants included) a leader variant ‘earned’ can be subbed free. Players could also for a cost build additional leaders.
Specifically for the E4 these ships are on the schedule in groups of 3 for the first 6 turns of the General war (then one E4 per turn after that) meaning at a minimum 3 of these E4C’s will be 'earned' as a possible build. Meaning if introduced we should have at least 4 available with an initial product purchase.
So what to do…
KILO and VULKAN are presented as two sheets in their respective products (CO and FO) so would need 2xE4C on the page and it will be hard enough to get one on.
SIERRA has 4 sheets in the SO product so would need only one to hit the minimum.
Simple replacement maybe possible.
There is a single E4S on KILO and SIERRA (total of 6 when a customer buys one of each product). (Kilo would be the option here as players do need more E4S)
There are 4 F5Ws on KILO plus 2 3xF5W counters (total of 20 when a player buys on copy of CO.
FEDS: Since ADB ruled out the the partial replacement of BLACK/GREEN (below), this would be the best option presented.
A much more risky and difficult option (in terms of color drift and SVC time / effort) but a much more positive impact on the player set would be to break the Green color block on KILO.
Why? what I do see is there is an extra Hydran MHK was placed as a filler) and ‘technically’ an extra fighter marker (FO provides a ton of them on G+G).
There are other options that are more complex and involve shifting and swapping but that would be a longer and more explicit email to the boss. And this post is too long already.

Observation:
Hydran AH: there are a total of 30 in the game system (Basic A&B: 18; FO I&J: 6; CO KILO: 2 [up from 1]).
Hydran MHK: CO-2004 had 3 total, but now we added one to KILO and are doubling the sheets for a total of 8.
Option:
If the intent is the get two E4Cs on KILO, then one way to do so is to drop ONE AH (now 28) and ONE MHK (now 6) each.
Then, add TWO E4Cs (total 4 in CO) and convert TWO fighter coins to BLACK.
(Additionally, we could choose to drop the E4S from KILO as there is one already one on SIERRA (four in the box) and adding a third E4C on KILO for a total of SIX in the CO box.)
Proposed sheet would have a BLACK/GREEN color transition over between the fighter coins and would look like this: E4C FTR FTR E4C FTR FTR
FEDS: Withdrawn.

I am back from my weekend event and I had a chance to review.
The E4C (missing from this sheet) will need minimum of 3 units available in the product to match the leader rule production of the first six turns of the general war.
KILO will be provided as two sheets in Combined Operations.
Suggest:
Replace the F5W at location J-6 with an E4C. FACTORS: 5-4/2
Replace the E4S at location H-10 with an E4C. FACTORS: 5-4/2
Benefit / Impact to product/players from the previous version of CO:
++ Players would receive 4 E4C to go along with the 2 Rom K4C added to this new sheet. (+4 E4C, +2 K4C)
++ Replacing 1 F5W: Because of the double sheet Players would receive 18 F5W instead of 13 F5W in the previous product. (+5 F5W)
-0- Replacing the E4S: Players would receive 0 E4S instead of 0 E4S in the previous CO product. (No benefit)
NOTE: Since ADB approved adding a SIERRA sheet to SO product the players are getting one extra E4S. (+1 E4S elsewhere)
Chuck please verify the E4C factors in the above line items.
FEDS CONFIRMS.

Crippled SFG units lose the stasis "A" rating if they are crippled:

KILO: All Tholian Packs: FEDS recommends that the FRONT designations should read T-Pk; B-Pk; R-Pk, P-Pk, and HFR-Pk. Rationale: Module CO sheet will come with TWO set of KILO sheets. With just one set of these four total coins, one can create change for counts of 1-50 fighter factors and with two sets (eight coins) can create change for counts of 1-100+ fighter factors.
THE REST WERE DONE
