GARY, YOUR RULE NUMBER IS WRONG. I THINK YOU MEAN 23H. HOWEVER, I CANNOT FIND HDWH ANYWHERE IN THE TEXT. NO ACTION TAKEN. I ASSUME THAT THIS IS IN FACT A SIT REPORT AND SHOULD GO THERE.
Just one quick note for now:
(525.53H): This entry lists the Federation HDWH as using 6 A-20s, the same as the Federation HDWA (525.53A). However, per the Tactical Operations SIT listed here, the Federation HDWH has six F-111s instead. Which is the correct fighter type used by this mission variant? - Gary Carney, 16 November 2022

Thank you SVC, Jean, and the F&E staff!!
(315.27) This rule allowing a Kzinti CVE group in the earlier version of AO is not present here - is this intentional? If so maybe include a designer’s note? - Alex Chobot, 16 NOV 2022
I WENT AHEAD AND ADDED THE NOTE.
Back Cover - Delete fifth bullet point (or replace with something else) as the SIT is no longer included. - Alex Chobot, 16 NOV 2022
WE AREN'T ABLE TO REPRINT THE BACK COVERS.
Back Cover - Sixth bullet point includes the old number of counters based on the 216 counters countersheets. Current count is 1,120 counters. Change to that or “Over X counters…”. - Alex Chobot, 16 NOV 2022
SEE ABOVE.
(617.F43) In the paragraph starting with “For proper history…” l, it instructs the player, when Gorn redeployment is triggered, to roll for “each ship (or carrier group) listed in (617.F3).” However that reference is to the Sector F Scenario Schedule. In the prior version of AO, this was referring to the Operation Remus forces, which is now this rule. Update reference to (617.F43) - Alex Chobot, 16 NOV 22
CORRECTIONS MADE.
Further, this rule/procedure for sending Gorn ships to Sector B seems unclear/incomplete to me. It says “optional unless playing several sectors together” - is the intent to make this procedure required if Sector B is also being played? If not, at what point is it no longer optional? I NEED THE STAFF TO EXPLAIN THE ISSUE TO ME AS I DON'T SEE IT.
(617.B) This sector is missing the procedure for arriving Gorn forces that was (617.B44) in the prior version of AO. Suggest adding that back in (not sure where in the new scenario format would be best) and reconciling it with the procedure in (617.F43), especially when playing a multiple sector game. For example, the Sector F procedure says to start rolling on the the second game turn, while the old (617.B44) says to start rolling on the third game turn. Does this mean that the transferring Gorn ships spend a turn in transit before being set up ready to use in 1902, for example? - Alex Chobot, 16 NOV 2022
I FIXED THIS WITHOUT THE STAFF, TIME WAS SHORT, JEAN AND HER FLYSWATTER WERE APPROACHING.

Alex, (315.27) was deleted many years ago in a Captain's Log. Its exclusion is deliberate but does not require an explanation as there is no following rule (315.28) to require an explanation. In contrast (318.7) has such a note because it is followed by (318.8).
CORRECT, BUT AS I SAID, I ADDED THE NOTE (RATHER THAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION EVERY YEAR)

Gary:
GARY, SIT REPORTS BELONG IN THE SIT TOPIC.
That listing on the Fed SIT is a ghost as there is no counter fo the Fed "HDWH" on counter sheets Tango or Oscar. It was inadvertently listed early during development, but was later confirmed by SPP that there cannot be a Fed HDW with 6 F-111s. It needs to be removed from the SIT.

"(523.11) PRODUCTION: Production of X-ships requires the ex-penditure of a number of X-technology points (XTPs) instead of economic points. The costs shown on the ship information table do not distinguish between EPs and XTPs, but any production of an X-ship, conversion of an X-ship, conversion of a non-X ship into an X-ship, or repair of an X-ship requires XTPs rather than EPs requires XTPs."
CORRECTION MADE. THANKS
Why is "requires XTPs" included a second time at the end? It should just be "requires XTPs rather than EPs."

(617.224) First sentence, “Alliance strategic movement node” should be “Coalition” - Alex Chobot 24 NOV 2022
(627.521) Final sentence is duplicated - Alex Chobot 24 NOV 2022
BOTH CORRECTIONS MADE.

525.13 Last sentence of the rule has “off” instead of ‘of’.

MAYBE I MEANT "OFFENSIVE STRATEGIC MOVEMENT"?

FORMATTING ITEM:
Rule (526.3) FORWARD CARRIER RESUPPLY SHIPS (FCRs) is the beginning of the rule for FCRs. As such, and similarly to all other rules in the section, this should have been a title bar (Black with white text).

RESPONSE 1: BAD RULE NUMBER, ACTUALLY 146
RESPONSE 2: DOESN'T SEEM THAT IMPORTANT TO REARRANGE SHIPS.
RESPONSE 3: RULE NUMBERS SEEM EXCESSIVE.
RESPONSE 4, DONE
TYPO ITEM:
Rule (316.145) In the list of restricted (disqualified) ships given in the rule it is says..
Small transports (FX, APT, PT)
Note 1: A reference should be added regarding the Passenger rules.
Note 2: List order change recommended to align with appearance order in the rules.
So what is should say for Small Transports is:
Small transports (APT, PTR, FX) (539.131, 539.231, 539.331)

Missing Element:
Rule (316.0, 316.13, & 600.3)
No where in the current 316 or 600.3 rules does it discuss deployment of ADM in regards to Release or Activation.
Diplomats under (600.35) by example are released/activated and available to move around the map from the start of the scenarios they are involved with (unless a specific scenario rule forbids it).
Suggestion for AO add (under section 316.13) as:
(316.131) Admirals are released and may be used when their assigned fleet is released. (See rule 600.35x and specific scenario rules for exceptions.)
Recommendation also to add a clarifying rule regarding ADM (and potentially other Personnel release). The reference in 600.35 could be embellished to include more Personnel types in the F&E Basic Set review that is upcoming. I will make that recommendation formally over in F&E Basic.

CORRECTED EVERYWHERE I COULD FIND IT.
ALSO, 549 IS NOT IN TACOPS SO I DELETED ALL REFERENCES TO IT BEING THERE. THOSE CHANGES WON'T APPEAR UNTIL NEW UPDATES OF THE BOOKS ARE DONE.
TYPO ITEM: I noticed this in a quick read through in AO, the latest module to come out, (it is a page copied from elsewhere, see note at the very bottom).
(549.122) Each type of auxiliary may have additional specific rules limiting its production, such as auxiliary carriers (513.112) or (527.24), auxiliary PFTs (526.41), auxiliary drone ships (526.51), auxiliary hospital ships (451.1), auxv scouts (317.1), auxiliary space control ships (526.46), auxiliary troop ships (521.6), and auxiliary web tenders (539.4). Special attack forces are not covered by this rule; they are in (520.1) and (521.62).
should probably be:
(549.122) Each type of auxiliary may have additional specific rules limiting its production, such as auxiliary carriers (513.112) or (527.24), auxiliary PFTs (526.41), auxiliary drone ships (526.51), auxiliary hospital ships (451.1), auxiliary scouts (317.1), auxiliary space control ships (526.46), auxiliary troop ships (521.6), and auxiliary web tenders (539.4). Special attack forces are not covered by this rule; they are in (520.1) and (521.62).
RATIONALE: Typo
I DO NOTE the introduction to the rule does say in (549.0):
In the 2021 StratCon Update, a slightly updated version of this rule was included in Combined Operations, Strategic Operations, Tactical Operations, and Advanced Operations. The copy in the F&E Warbook Annexes is the definitive master copy and is updated as needed.
I DID indeed find an updated page in the Annex Repeated Rules file. which did reflect this change (sort of), what seems to have happened is all words Auxiliary were shortened to Aux. I am merely noting this find here so that the corrected page can be added to the final product.
